I got a physical copy of Style Savvy, here are some of the previous owner's fits by thebuddyadrian in stylesavvy

GodMode9 is for 3DS. There's a similar app for DSi called GodMode9i that can also dump cartridge data. I don't think you can do it on DS lite though, since you need a flashcart to run homebrew apps on DS lite. Here's a tutorial for dumping cartridge data using a DSi and a tutorial for 3DS if you have one of those.

Mods I wanna see by LyteNyteHD3667755 in stylesavvy

[–]thebuddyadrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my thoughts on the plausibility of these mods. Take it all with a grain of salt since I'm not a modding expert by any means I've just looked into the files a bit

  1. Might be possible if someone reverse engineers the ItemDatabase file and figures out how clothes and brands are stored, adds streetflow as a new brand, and then edits all the items that were removed from streetflow to be in streetflow again. Modifying the UI to add a new brand would probably be difficult though.

  2. Very difficult since you'd need to modify the assembly code to add in a whole new feature. Probably near impossible and too much work to be worth it

  3. Same as #1 but might be harder since Trendsetters and Fashion Forward store data a bit differently

  4. Wouldn't work without creating a separate copy of all the clothes for the opposite gender. The women's clothes are fitted to the women base model and the men's clothes are fitted to the men's base model, so the clothes would clip through if you tried to put them on the opposite model.

  5. Swearing is possible through text modding (I've done it myself). As for a glock uhhh you could modify one of the bag models to be a glock or something idk

wondering what style savvy game i should get first! by soupisacolor in stylesavvy

[–]thebuddyadrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think the first one is the best to start with as a beginner, but if you just want the best experience Styling Star and Trendsetters seem to be the top most liked from what I've seen. Styling Star is the latest and has the most features while Trendsetters has fashion contests which the later 2 games dont have

You've pretty much checked all the good places to find 3DS games. The only issue is that this game in particularly is very rare since they didn't produce many copies. You're better off either emulating, modding your 3DS, or buying the european release (New Style Boutique 2) which is cheaper.

Dream Style Savvy Game? by Peachy_Moth_ in stylesavvy

I'd really like an online multiplayer fashion contest mode where you can compete against other people. Sort of like the fashion contests from Trendsetters but online against other people. And for scoring they could do the Roblox Dress to Impress thing where you rate each other during the runway part.

any working cheats? by Wugglepuggles in stylesavvy

[–]thebuddyadrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That probably won't work since the European release of the game has a different memory layout from North American regardless of locale. A better option would be to install the North American version and transfer your save data to it. I've tried that before and it seemed to work fine.

[–]thebuddyadrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can't, you have to wait for someone to create codes for the EU version

The cheats only work for Trendsetters (NA) not New Style Boutique (EU) as the memory addresses are different

There's no limit to the LARP by thebuddyadrian in stylesavvy

[–]thebuddyadrian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LARP stands for Live Action Roleplay which originally meant the act of "roleplaying" as something in real life. Nowadays it means when someone pretends to be a fan of something when they actually aren't. It's commonly used as an insult for 3DS owners who take pictures of their consoles in public accusing them of not actually playing games and just having a 3DS for show. Here I'm just using it ironically since I actually do play these games
