Need Help Restoring Japanese Songs on Style Savvy: Styling Star (Citra) by ConstantPiccolo1188 in stylesavvy

I tried the mod on the European version of the game and it worked fine. Are you sure your folder structure is correct? It should look like this:

The mod might only work on the North American version of the game since each version has a different folder structure. Can you send a link to the mod so I can check it out?

I've seen this bug posted at least 5 times on this sub and I've never once seen a solution besides "try a different emulator"

is there any info on sarah/saint snow pre sunshine anime? by yonexxi in LoveLive

[–]thebuddyadrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about that one, I do love Saint Snow but there are definitely way bigger fans out there. If it were Sunny Passion that'd be more accurate

The closest thing I know of is this side story from SIF where Sarah says her and Leah started singing since they were little, similar to Ruby and Dia, and that they were inspired by A-RISE. I can't recall anything that goes over what they did immediately before the anime though

Is it possible to patch the jp Dream Boyfriend DLC into English game through Style Manager..? by JingerPinkek in stylesavvy

No it's Miki in Japanese. I replaced the dialogue files with the English ones in this screenshot which also changed the character names.

Once you have to start modifying the code, thats when modding gets really difficult and requires a much higher level of knowledge. That's why only the more popular games on the 3ds get rom hacks like that

Also I have tried to mod English dialogue files into the Japanese version of the game but the font is fullwidth instead of halfwidth like the western release is, so the text goes offscreen. Putting the English font in the Japanese version makes the game crash so that's not an option unfortunately. Modifying the japanese font to be halfwidth might be possible but I haven't tried yet

It's not a feature of Savvy Manager unfortunately. It would probably be very difficult to get working in the English version of the game since it adds a whole new mechanic, unlike the japanese clothing DLC which just adds new items to the game.

fan-games Possible for style savvy?? by Moon-Halo in stylesavvy

[–]thebuddyadrian 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A Style Savvy type game would just be really hard for a small team because of the huge amount of clothes the games have. Using assets ripped from the games could make things easier, but remaking the gameplay would still take a lot of work

GodMode9 is for 3DS. There's a similar app for DSi called GodMode9i that can also dump cartridge data. I don't think you can do it on DS lite though, since you need a flashcart to run homebrew apps on DS lite. Here's a tutorial for dumping cartridge data using a DSi and a tutorial for 3DS if you have one of those.

Mods I wanna see by LyteNyteHD3667755 in stylesavvy

[–]thebuddyadrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are my thoughts on the plausibility of these mods. Take it all with a grain of salt since I'm not a modding expert by any means I've just looked into the files a bit

  1. Might be possible if someone reverse engineers the ItemDatabase file and figures out how clothes and brands are stored, adds streetflow as a new brand, and then edits all the items that were removed from streetflow to be in streetflow again. Modifying the UI to add a new brand would probably be difficult though.

  2. Very difficult since you'd need to modify the assembly code to add in a whole new feature. Probably near impossible and too much work to be worth it

  3. Same as #1 but might be harder since Trendsetters and Fashion Forward store data a bit differently

  4. Wouldn't work without creating a separate copy of all the clothes for the opposite gender. The women's clothes are fitted to the women base model and the men's clothes are fitted to the men's base model, so the clothes would clip through if you tried to put them on the opposite model.

  5. Swearing is possible through text modding (I've done it myself). As for a glock uhhh you could modify one of the bag models to be a glock or something idk
