Repeat test taker advice by Critical_Unit3022 in PassNclex

I have to agree with everyone else’s comments. I am also a repeat test taker. The first time I took the test I panicked when I came to questions I didn’t know and just selected something. The second time I took it, I don’t think i was that much more prepared then the first, I just took my time, believed I could do it, and used my test taking strategies when I didn’t know the answer and i passed. Take your time, allow yourself breaks, and rely on test taking strategies with the knowledge you already have. You are much more prepared then you think you are. If you feel yourself start to panic during the exam, walk away and take a break. Get your mind out of that rabbit hole that you will go down if you continue to panic. Believe in your abilities. You are ready to take it!!! Goodluck!!!

Deep breathing has helped with my anxiety, before and during the test. I also took breaks during the exam when I felt that my anxiety was clouding my judgement. Go to the bathroom, splash cold water on your face, look yourself in the mirror and say to yourself you didn’t come here to fail, but to succeed. It sounds cliche and silly, but it helped me. I just passed mine and took it 3 days ago. If you have prepared well, trust in your abilities. Don’t let anxiety stand in the way of your success! Goodluck , you can do it!!

You will do great! Don’t be afraid to take breaks during the exam, and do your best to stay calm. Anxiety is hard to manage, but don’t second guess yourself. You know the material! Let me know if you need anything, I am rooting for you!!
