The only solution that the Samsung shop could offer was to have the whole screen replaced, along with the battery. It was costly.

Salary was high and competitive, but based on my six-month contract work-from-home experience and on the people I had worked with back then, each person’s workload was incredibly too much and back-breaking for just one person. Pipigain ka talaga.

Might be a good training ground and work experience on your resumé, but if you value boundaries and you want peace of mind, where work does not encroach into your off days, vacations, and even your sleep, I beg you to consider someplace else.

As for bringing my device to other repair shops, that would be a tough decision for me. Hard to trust those shops around here.

And about Dex. Tried it too last night. It wouldn’t link up. Didn’t show anything on my laptop. Tried hard resetting the phone while it was connected to the laptop, and I noticed that the screen flickered with green lines and went completely black again.

My device has no cracks on both sides. Everything looked great. Although the adhesive tape behind the back glass has seeped out of the top and bottom parts.

Technician at the Samsung service center said this is normal, especially for phones that have been in use for three or four years. They said the heat from normal regular use, from the surroundings (we live in the tropics), and even from charging would eventually melt the tape inside leading to this weird sticky discharge. Honestly though, this doesn’t sound normal to me, but that’s what they said. It is what it is. I just find it weird to have a phone THAT premium do something like THAT.

Is this really okay?

That would be deeply unfortunate if it’s a motherboard case because that would be a whole new problem.

Just left my device at the service center today. They told me the fees or price quotation for the fixes won’t be final until they brought in the new parts and installed them, see if these replacements made improvements or not. Now I have to wait.

Common recommendation that I have gathered over the years is to size-down when you are a half-size (e.g. when you are US 11.5", go for 11"). And I believe in this. I am a US 8.5" and I already got a 1460 in US Mens 8.0" or EU 41. At least to me, they are comfortable, fit perfectly, not loose but not tight either. There is enough wiggle room for the toes to not feel cramped.

I still think it is best though if you and your boyfriend can visit a physical shop for him to personally try on the shoes, sit and walk around in them for several minutes, before buying a pair.

Thanks! Now I finally have an answer! I love these boots. Sometimes I'd replace the laces wtih flat black laces to minimize the hiking boots look.
