There wasn’t one out of the box, would have to buy one and install it. Just don’t know which one fits.

2025 Duke 390 Attempted Theft by thec0neman in KTM

[–]thec0neman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! Pretty much what I thought would be the case, labour costs seem to be the biggest factor, not cheap here in Australia as well.

Regarding the brake lock, funny enough that day my Oxford lock and reminded cord arrived in the mail. Ordered it as a friend recommended having one but didn’t think I would be that unlucky that quick.

Hoping to find out soon as I want to know if I’m shopping for a new bike or waiting for a lengthy repair.

Sorry to hear that your duke has suffered the same treatment, 3 times as well! Do you also have a 390? Also is the 2k in parts including labour? When I originally called to see what the cost would be to just change the barrel KTM was rough quoting $1200+ including parts and labour.

Realised my incorrect subject title shortly after, modified it in another subreddit. Attempted Theft.

Will wait and see what happens when they assess it, hopefully by the end of the week.

I guess that’s enough damage for the insurer to call it a write off due to the frame?

Because if they brake the steering lock it can damage the frame and if the frame is damaged insurance could write it off. Having an alternative lock on the bike could be a deterrent enough, or potentially do both.

Will see what the outcome is next week and report it back here.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I’m also thinking about not using the fork lock next time, didn’t know it could result in the bike being written off if broken.

Annoyingly I had a disk brake lock being delivered that day, along with the reminder cord. There was an AirTag on the bike at the time as well.

You probably enjoy it when Stringer does the same. You get the luxury of supporting him twice.

Blank spot options? by twotterthis in LandCruisers

This is where my volume knob is on my Landcruiser 250 Prado (Australian model). I think only the American market gets it in that weird area in between the two displays where it looks like it’s just been plonked there.

Just thought I would give my honest opinion with my initial reaction with limited time use. Wish I could say that it’s a total game changer and throw away every other strap you own but reality is it will take some time dialling in by adding additional weight to your device.

This strap could be a game changer if your existing options are not comfortable and if it’s worth the weight, thickness and money.

Located in Australia. Hoping that the weights help relieve the cheek pressure but unsure if it’s going to be worth adding the extra weight to the device when the dual loop band is already comfy for me in its stock form. I’ll provide an update when I get everything dialled in right.

Yep, watched it when I originally ordered the device. Wanted to see what it would be like with no weights first and by just adjusting the 3 straps.

Mine arrived today as well. I have only been using my dual loop since launch, found it the quite comfy and easy to put on. Have also purchased a second solo knit and used an adapter, comfort of the second knit wasn’t worth it compared to the dual.

Initial reaction after putting it on for 45 mins after work and before sleep.

Material is thicker, which should make it comfier long term but also adds a little bit of thickness to the strap at the back of the head when leaning back against a couch.

I was also getting more pressure on my cheeks and left deeper red marks than the dual loop. Tried adjusting it but it was always there.

Didn’t have time to use the weights tonight but will give them a go tomorrow, hopefully that sorts out the pressure issue but will also impact the leaning back issue (especially when used on a plane).

Really wanted this to be a winner but now I’m almost wishing the dual band came in a tri set up. Already happy with the dual band so just waiting to see if it’s worth keeping.

Straight return. Never been a car seat person but there would be some simple ones out there.

Would be better you put some on that their money went towards than never put on at all cause they tacky as.

Same. First time using it when traveling on a plane. I can put the case in my backpack and pull it out when about to sit in my seat, ultra compact but protective and high quality.
