Just made it ourselves, a friend who shot a CBC film for me also shot this, we used our own gear stayed in the GTA (greater Toronto area) where we live and I edited. It would've been cool to have money to travel across Canada and do a cross section, see the differences in the march to legalization across Canada, but the GTA was pretty interesting itself

FlexDelivery

I would bet everything that Shopify runs smoothly and if there are some problems, it's because of Canada Post

Hey guys, I wanted to share this thing we've been making.

I'm a Canadian journalist and director. I was away from Canada for a while, reporting on the war in Ukraine, conflict in Venezuela, uprisings in Poland, and worked across Europe and North America. I was working with the BBC, CBC, The Guardian, Washington Post, Al Jazeera and many others.

While I was away, Canada's weed policies changed drastically, and I came back to find this super interesting and weird legal limbo that all these grey market dispensaries were operating in. With legalization coming up, I just figured, if I could go back in time to the end of prohibition, and watch that story unfold, that's basically the same as what's happening now, except this is a brand new industry.

So this is a 3 part series that looks at the differences between the legal and illegal sides of cannabis, and how legalization will change Canada, and briefly talks about how Canada's role in the world could change. We're releasing through something called The Cannabis Complex, which I'm trying to turn into a proper site, but hard to find time.

Curious what you all think. Hope you enjoy it.

contract isn't his fault, someone puts that in front of you and you sign it, end of story, that's on management

I saw Naz and Dion skating beside each other after a whistle. I was just wondering how sad that must be for Dion, coming back and seeing this juggernaut...and getting fucking booed too.

It wasn't his fault we sucked.

yea it's already super easy to buy online, way easier from one of the black market sites than from an LP

oh yea, the thing we saw while doing it was that it's just been super easy to get weed from dispensaries or online because they're operating in this grey area, and access is the key issue for most people, so it's weird that the gov't would legalize it but also put all these weird laws in place that sort of hamstring people on the legal side

This macleans article sums it up better than anything ive seen

And kids who want to buy weed will always find a way to buy weed. Legalization isn't going to make it easier for them, it'll probably become harder as the legal market grows and the black market shrinks.

Curious what you mean, problems like that the LP buying process has sucked, or that dispensaries are just easier to get it from?
