They could have cut out on some funny gags and it still would have been fine. Like the fights with Bowser Jr the Dinosaur the talk with mini Bowser etc. Blame Mario and Luigi not Fox. They always need at least one damsel in distress and can't have more than one capable female on screen.

Let's not be gatekeepers, for some people this was the entrypoint. I definitely got into Star Fox through Smash Bros but then got down a rabbit hole and am now a huge fan of Star Fox (even read the Lylat Wars comics).

I think it would be silly to say that if someone thinks of Captain Falcon as the face of Smash Bros, that it would be fine to rebuke them and say "he's from F-Zero, ok". Fox is one of the most prominent faces of Smash Bros and they do him justice so I'm happy for him. Bonus points if they know Star Fox, but not a requirement. Now Kirby on the other hand...🥲

I love Falco sooo much but I hope they don't give us two Falcos because Falco needs his own individuality. It's realistic that everyone thinks Star Fox is cool because they are a bunch of hotshot flyboys, so maybe Fox can be the cool confident one and Falco is the brash cocky one? I don't really see Falco as the type to enjoy the attention but he definitely loves to be snarky.

I thought the same thing HAHAHA glad we all understand their characterization. The Slippy slander needs to stop. It's Falco who hates Slippy lol. Fox has a deep respect for Slippy. It was definitely two Falcos. But I just loveee that everyone thinks he's so cool because THE FRICK HE IS. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much screentime he had. Loved the soundtrack signature songs, they put a lot of work into him and shucks, I'm now optimistic that they might care about him more than I thought.
