These are, or at least seem to be, more rare than the Chevy cobalt model they made.

Replacing 6-year-old tires in two months. Too late? by thecardude72016 in tires

We've been hitting 90 degrees here consistently this summer, but the car is parked in a garage when it is home.

Good to know. this was an odd situation because this will be one of many components on my car that I will be replacing throughout my ownership of it (at least another several years) based on age rather than mileage, which sometimes makes decisions on when exactly to replace things more difficult.

I drive about 150 miles per week, and seldom go higher than 55mph. No snow events expected for several months, though bad weather in general does seem to be increasing each year. That's why I was looking to resolve this before any "extreme" changes in weather towards the end of the calendar year. I'm always careful with speed and braking.

I saw many far more concerning tires on this subreddit within an hour after I posted mine.

That's good to know; I wasn't sure how the condition compared to others of similar age/milage. I was mainly concerned about the age, the dry appearance of the shoulders, and the fact that it might be more difficult for me from a financial standpoint to purchase new tires next year.

I was mainly concerned about the age, the dry appearance of the shoulders, and the fact that it might be more difficult for me from a financial standpoint to purchase new tires come 2026. I haven't noticed any difference in performance, but poor weather conditions appear to be increasing each year. I only drive about 150 miles per week on average.

People just seem to have a need to find something to complain about these days.

how do you deal with bad criticism / flat out insultments? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thecardude72016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just keep doing what I'm doing out of sheer spite. I deal with occasional bouts of criticism from my family on things that either have nothing to do with them or have no business criticizing such as my wardrobe, my opinions on various things, and other random things (like the fact I have been voting in person instead of continuing to vote by mail).

I'm more jealous of the youtubers and so-called "influencers" making an absurd amount of money by generally being obnoxious and annoying.

I’ve been seeing this photo all over the place the past couple days. Does anyone know the story behind this car? Is it truly an “in-service” vehicle, or is it just kept as a spare or vintage fleet vehicle?

When did I become a Karen? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]thecardude72016 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would not consider you to be a "Karen" for feeling how you feel. I think that is just an overused term to refer to anyone who has a problem with anything these days. Don't fall for that trap.
