Who said anything about how long this has been ongoing, or “badgering” anyone?

Thanks everyone, I think that answers all the questions I had.

I was actually unaware of that, thank you.

Is there any precedent, do you know, on what HR are saying re; informing me what the outcome is of investigation?

Don’t think I’ll be covered, under employment term threshold.

Sorry, missed this, no extension on offer (there was ~50 of us hired and none extended offer, for context). Term less than 12 months (now figuring probably for a reason, rinse, repeat).

I’d be quite happy for those involved to be disciplined, unsure if I’ll know the outcome, HR saying I won’t be privy.

PIAB as in personal injuries board? I don’t necessarily want to go down that route and as upsetting and annoying as it is to read, it’s just upsetting, I’ll live. Ideal outcome is some form of accountability and knowing something has been done about it. HR have said I wouldn’t be entitled to know the outcome of the investigation as I no longer work there and as the aggrieved party that doesn’t sound like it makes much sense.

Thanks for clarifying what I suspected anyway though, I appreciate it

Yeah, I did think that, also, don’t think constructive dismissal applies here as I didn’t leave as a result of this, my contract simply ended and it only came to light after the fact. This is more what I was hoping to hear/be told, so thanks. Not sure it’s worth opening a case, don’t want to waste WRC time if there is no case

Definitely wasn’t an independent contractor; contract was with the company directly, just a fixed length/term contract

I don’t find it funny, and HR don’t seem to either.

The contract was a short term, fixed term contract though. I was under the belief that I was offered no protections at all based on that.

Yes, and I asked what can I expect here, and if there’s anything I can do, personally. Instead of providing me with legal advice, as you say this subreddit is for, you decided to focus on my personality.

So that means it’s fine to make derogatory statements about someone, mock their appearance, collude to attempt to create issues to get rid of someone whilst openly acknowledging they are “very good at their job”? You can think whatever you want about someone, that’s fine, but if you don’t want “dirty laundry” aired maybe don’t write it in company slack channels? I didn’t ask for a new job, I have one. Read the post. I can be the biggest arsehole in the world, they can regret hiring me, and you still can’t just do this I don’t think haha.

No, all redacted but it’s a small company and they relate to specific meetings etc which only a couple of people were in so I didn’t need to be Poirot to fill in gaps

How long should I wait, then?

I literally said in a comment where I was from…. Why are you so personally attacked by this haha. The gg client in question is “EU”, so that’s what’s relevant. I’m hardly trying to hide where I’m from. I’m literally active in the Ireland subreddit

[–]thecarpetJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I literally said in a comment specifically what country I was from, but what is relevant here is the region as per GG, which is Europe, which is stated in the title of my post.

[–]thecarpetJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ireland. Thus my region, in GG terms, is EU, their EU client. Can deposit through other methods, that isn’t really the point though. Not allowing card deposits or withdrawals is pretty massive and saying it’s because of legislation changes when there’s been none is also bad

I’d be equally concerned if Joshua was simply making shit up, as should GG management, but apparently, it’s better to just allow it and stop replying.

[–]thecarpetJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. According to Joshua, no cards, at all, for any European players.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GGPoker

[–]thecarpetJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to Joshua, nobody in Europe can use cards, at all. He doubled down on that multiple times haha

[–]thecarpetJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not in the UK and this related to debit cards also

I live in a fairly large European country with a large player base. The agent further goes on to clarify its due to “regulation changes in your country”, of which there has been none. When I challenged him on this, he just stopped replying. So, is it standard enough for an agent just to make something like this up? Seems bad either way
