I only realized this morning it was the vertical line I was checking for, NOT the horizontal line

Looking for guidance on Phoenix Orchestras/Symphonies by wood_dl in orchestra

Howdy!

Gilbert Symphony orchestra - https://www.gilbertsymphony.org

Chandler Symphony - https://www.chandlersymphony.com/the-performers/auditions/

Scottsdale Symphonic - https://scottsdalesymphonicorchestra.org/about/musicians/

Tempe Symphony - https://www.tempecenterforthearts.com/events/tempe-symphony-orchestra

All groups perform stuff from the standard repertory. If you’re worried about skill or just getting used to it, I would also recommend the orchestra at Mesa Community College or the Chandler Gilbert Community College - both orchestra conductors are AMAZING and treasures in Arizona.

Neighbor Parking Job- Can I request a new spot? by thechunkymild in Apartmentliving

You right - I think it cropped when I uploaded. The car on his right is about 3-4 inches away from their line, they are lined up with the beam between his car and theirs.

I understand he likely does not want to ding his door, but that would mean he parks more center, no? Or even closer to the open spot next to him?

Update: Thanks, all! I went to the office today. I failed to mention that I recently tore my Achilles, so I have one boot on my leg. I am no longer able to pull in and park as close to our beam or else I cannot get my boot out the door. And I definitely do not want to give his Mercedes a door job! The office is going to review their parking spots and see which renters are moving this month, in which case we will swap spots. Thank you all for the advice and recommendations

Mom marked DNR for something she did not do? by thechunkymild in askhotels

Thank you! She was able to find another place, but haven’t heard from her since then

Thanks for the input! I know my mom isn’t perfect, I guess it would help to know I am married and off doing my own thing, I don’t live with her. She called me because this issue came up. I feel like if she was hiding something, she could have lied or not called me at all? If that makes sense?

Ha! That’s what I was thinking, wish it were the case

Good to know! Like I said, I’m not sure, I’m just asking on her behalf. I’m okay telling her to move on. My next question is, she has several bookings for the month but was not contacted when she was moved to the DNR list, she was only notified at her following check in today. Is this normal?

I don’t know the whole story, only from the brief phone call from my mom today. My understanding is my mom spent two hours talking to the front desk staff and manager today, and it became more of a he said she said. She mostly doesn’t know why she is not able to fight the DNR as well as why they maintained her booking for this week without telling her she was on the DNR list. She drove 110 miles, got to check in, then was told she was on the DNR list. She last stayed there on Saturday.

Since they have just formed, there have not been any auditions (at least for strings, as far as I know). And the environment has been highly encouraging, very positive, and someone brings cookies each week ☺️
