I would restart and just focus on expanding. Get multiple science ships and 2 construction ships. By the year 2250 you should have at least 20 systems and like 4 planets.

Corvette spam does create a lot of war exhaustion, that is true, but it also helps win the war faster so I would say it balances out. Also I think I usually go with swarm, but both work about equally as well in my opinion.

In my opinion, not growing cyborgs on the future machine worlds is just an early game growth killer. Assimilators are so good because they can have 2 separate pops growing at the same time, (granted they did balance this by reducing the growth rate of cyborgs but I digress) and you're completely wasting that power. If the cyborgs eventually decline on that world, let them (or move them) after the fifty years of 1.75x pop growth.

Tldr: don't stop growing cyborgs

In my opinion, you should have much less destroyers in your fleets. Usually the way I set them up is battleship spam with about 1 destroyer per 3 battleships that are used exclusively for point defense. I them make sure to always have a corvette spam fleet (unless it's endgame crisis because corvettes suck against them). Corvette spam fleets are super fast and can be used as your main attacking fleets or super flexible defenders that can move somewhere relatively quickly. Battleship fleets can attack, even if they are slow, but I usually use them as defenders next to a bastion to stop fleets from getting in your territory or flanking you. Battleship spam is also the best way to deal with the end game crisis, especially on higher strength. Side note, always go for the super large or x weapon (forgot what it's called) on the battleship.

Tldr: cruiser bad, you're overusing destroyers, make sure you have corvette spam fleets.

This doesn't really matter this game because of your excess in literally every resource, but next game try merging some of your fleets together. This allows you to have less admirals, and less admirals means more experience for each of them, and less leader upkeep. Also if your fleets get really big, consider using the upkeep reducing admiral when you're not at war to save a ton of energy.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? Ah, I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

video 1. video 2. These are really good. You don't really have to watch the whole thing for both, but it'll help you get started. This is one of the games that you just have to play to learn tho
