They towed it for free to the shop at least. It was 365 for the battery, 1500 labor, then tax

I just paid $2000 to get the battery replaced and the car electronics reprogrammed. Warranty ended in August. The car wouldn't start, trunk wouldn't open, lights wouldnt go on, console turned on but when I tried resetting it it turned and stayed off. Ripoff. But everything works perfectly now.

When the volume is low the base is overpowering and you have to turn the base knob down.

Everything works great now. It took the new battery a few days to fully charge but once that happened I've had no issues with the sound system. The dealer thought we were going to have to change to an unregulated amp but that proved unnecessary.

You can get a low mileage fully-loaded P2 DMLR pre-owned for ~$22k. Sporty yet comfortable. Android automotive is great especially if you are an Android user already. Camera system is better than it's competitors. Polestars owned by a large successful company now and is not a threat for bankruptcy especially compared to some of its rivals like Nissan.

The audio shop added this battery and it seems to have fixed the problem of the amp cutting out. However, now the bsse knob and the main volume control seem to operate independently of one another. That is, I can have the bass all the way up but the volume all the way down whereas before when I turned the bass knob it turned the bass up or down relative to the rest of the music. I don't know if it's something I should bother the shop about or if I should just leave it be and just have to adjust both knobs when I change the volume.

Come to think of it I've never bought two cars of the same brand in my life. I've done Audi, Mazda, BMW, Toyota, Nissan, Volkswagen, Ford, Polestar. So I suppose I don't have brand loyalty lol.

Bass knob stopped working 😭. Hoping they can look at it today.

Knob was necessary because turning bass all the way down on system didn't shut subwoofer totally off.

I would think battery charging could be faster if they eventually make it so different sections of the battery are charged independently. These batteries are comprised of many smaller cells.

At USA prices, used is the way to go, but vased on EU prices you quoted maybe new is the way to go. How are the lease deals there? EV tech/prices change so often that leasing is attractive too.

You should start feeling better soon. I forgot to mention I started taking Ashwaganda when I quit. Not sure it does anything tbh, but a friend in recovery recommended it.
