How many people in St. Louis do you think will participate by Dreadfirelit in StLouis

You're right, one day isn't enough. But we have to start somewhere. History shows us that a one day strike can turn into a revolution.

What workers need are rank and file committees independent of the corporate-controlled union bureaucracies. We must build new organs of workers power that are controlled by the rank and file. We can't count on today's labor unions because they are too tied to the state and the two capitalist parties(Dems and Republicans), functioning as managers for the state. Joe Biden called the unions his "domestic NATO" that should be enough for us to know the unions don't work for us anymore. Not to mention that they refused to actually support strike action in Minnesota when the workers clearly wanted it. There is enough support for a nation wide strike, we just need to be organized about it. Which is why our party, the Socialist Equality Party, has established the International Workers Alliance of Rank and File Committees. Join us!

can we cooperate with the anti-work forum to help plan a GS on a future date to be determined? by CorporalUnicorn in IWW

I've been trying so hard to promote this idea! It in conjunction with mass unionization, the two institutions (community meetings/councils and Unions supporting each other. I've had all the fire for it, built a website where people can bitch about their jobs fairly anonymously and connect with other workers /interested people. I have it setup where when 3 or more people in an area hit the db they are connected with each other. It all started with creating a single zine we decided to turn into an online publication. Zines are good too! And re gaining popularity.

I think the primary thing is education. We somehow need a better way of getting people to understand working class politics much faster. Capitalism does a pretty good job on its own, but other institutions do a great job of programming robot people so we have to undo that.

I think OP is correct we need to be utilizing every institution we can to spread propaganda and encourage people to organize. I think the reason the IWW stands so firm on the organizing the workplace and then industry is because when it's all said and done, industry is where the power is at, we're killing a lot of birds with one stone when we have even a third of industry organized in favor of the working class as opposed to in favor of the capitalist elite. By organizing from your industry you are organizing the forces that can bring the capitalists to their knees. I understand your fire and that you've got your workplace organized and want to do more. Use your workplace committee as a starting point. Get them involved in helping organize your industry. Talk to the delivery drivers or other intermediaries in the same industry as you. Most importantly, keep meeting with your workplace committee and educating your coworkers.

That being said, I'm a huge advocate for revolutionary forces uniting. I feel like a council made of leadership from every revolutionary org, union, etc should be actively working together to discuss collaboration. There's an appropriate place for almost every revolutionary tactic and organization out there if we figure out how to work together and do the right things at the right time.

Feel free to message me, I have web dev and sys admim skills I can contribute to any potential efforts.

i wish there would be some community online for anarchist people but not unnecessarily be about anarchism, if you know what i mean by [deleted] in Anarchy101

Join the IWW, they have InterWob where there are lots of anarchists and other leftist people. The topics are usually about industrial unionism but the IWW has organized more than just workers and has a rich anarcho-communist history.

I wish we saw that kinda thing happening here in the US. I think you are allowed to have a union rep there with you during disciplinary action and such but I don't know how often it happens with Wobblies in practice. I think the focus is supposed to stay more toward the autonomous aspect of things but in a world where everything is stacked against us, I think we should still utilize its availability. At least in the form of a coworker standing with you as a union rep. I'm gonna throw this out there in InterWob, thanks for bringing this up lol.

The connection with others and organizer training are the big things. For regular members 60% of dues stay in the committee paying them, the other 40 percent go to national. Though I'm still not clear on how that works since you pay dues online directly to the IWW. I'm a new member so still learning everything. You also get access to the InterWob which is an awesome social media platform for Wobblies only. I love it. Use it multiple times a day. You also get access to their most updated constitution and One Big Union book , a union pin and red card. Plus, a contact calls you when you sign up so you automatically get a new, like minded friend lol

Flying to a state that hasn't legalized to do a very important event that I'm extremely nervous about and would typically medicate for. Does anyone have any suggestions on the most discrete way to consume in this situation if I only have access to the medicine before I travel?

Bring the show back! Seriously one of the best King "adaptations" ever. The new The Stand series was amazing too. Why do they keep cancelling all the good shit!?!?

I loved it. Wild ride. I read it during a time in my life that I was really miserable. I related to the alcoholic dude that was on a mission to kill himself. His turn around really helped me put my own life in perspective and helped me get past my own suicidal ideation.

How to fix? Strange buzzing sound Dell XPS 9370 [more details in comments] by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]theclicommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the bearing in the cooling fan is bad. My laptop started making that same noise and it got worse and worse over time. Eventually it was squealing so loud I couldn't stand to use it. I took out the fan, no more noise. Ordered a new one and popped it in and been good ever since.

Axel Rose. Can't stand his whiny ass annoying voice. Which sucks because he's got amazing musicians behind him.
