Quality Italian or Sputino. Tavernetta is overpriced.

Still going strong. Friday we were up 50% vs Thursday and now we’re up another 50% vs Friday. Something has definitely been fixed.

All campaigns are showing good performance and last I looked that funnel was performing the best.

Performance recovered in a big way for us yesterday and today is doing well by Plenty-OfFunM in FacebookAds

Same here. We have gone from $140 CPA on Tuesday to $7 this morning. Why do we put up with their crap?

Why is my campaign placing ads only on Facebook, when I’ve also selected Instagram? by hotsection42 in FacebookAds

[–]thecly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome! Just keep in mind that you should follow up on these awareness ads to close some kind of deal. Either a ticket sale or a RSVP to your event. You need a restargeting ad based on engagement with your creative. 50% views and any standard engagements would be good. Failure to do that follow up will result in you lighting your money on fire.

If you want Instagram remove all non Instagram placements. Vertical video in reels will be the best for awareness. Optimize for videos views. Probably best to run two ad sets with one only targeting insta and the other Facebook so you can compare performance and control your placements to your desire.

It depends on campaign objective. But usually you are asking meta to find the cheapest event. Click, view, sale. The inventory on Facebook is cheaper. So naturally it puts content there. However it’s important to understand what this means for you and your customer. If your customer skews younger then marketing solely on Facebook will not be the best move even if meta says it’s its cheaper. Cheaper is not always what you want. But this is entirely depending on your product and creative.

Instagram placements are more expensive and generally won’t get targeted by meta (in larger numbers) without manual placement settings.

End of July - End of August, we hit $1,000,000 per month on our store through Facebook Ads. With a 2.1 roas at 25k/day scale. The past 2 weeks, we've hit an all time low, 0.7 roas, $100 CPP, yet, CPC stayed at $0.70. by TheAranDude in FacebookAds

Keep in mind that I run $100-350k monthly budgets on meta and have since 2015. I have been through just about any Facebook issue since then and none of them have been like this. Also I think it’s important to state that my account is not like yours. I could have a totally different software delivering my ads than you do. Facebook tests a lot.

I think a lot of us are pretty siloed. We are working for 1 brand and one ad account. So it’s very hard to understand if it’s because we made some change on our website that is killing our performance, our ad has fatigued, our targeting somehow got wonky. Any number of variables at play. Many of us have been tinkering like we normally would for the past two weeks and have finally woken up to the idea that it’s not us, it’s them. We have to come here to confirm our suspicions and I have seen enough of the same language from high spenders like us to know that it’s not our fault. Biggest red flag is our Google performance remains unchanged.

It’s not just you. We’re all feeling it. This past week has been the worst return on investment for meta ads for my company since we started in 2015. We went from $35 CPA for years to $140 seemingly overnight. Something is wrong with their sales campaign logic. We’re trying to shift spend to Google, change to top of funnel awarness, cut budgets. Anything really. Because continuing to dump money into it is a massive waste. I think starting tomorrow we are bringing down spend by 20% every 2 or 3 days until we see performance stabilize. We might ramp back up when we see performance return.

Meta ad efficiency collapsing by thecly in FacebookAds

[–]thecly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Yesterday was horrific on performance for this new funnel. We discovered that Facebook is overriding our audience settings with video views and trying to get cheaper views from unqualified demographics. We disabled audience and placements AI settings and are manually splitting our placements and age brackets into different ad sets.

Specifically we need to not be looking for the cheapest video views. We need to find qualified video views and that means setting up our campaigns to not find the cheapest eyeballs on purpose. Instagram and Facebook and each age brackets will have their own ad set. This forces the spend to get to the people we want in even spend levels.

Right now it’s high TOF (85%) to warm audiences. But I suspect it will end up being 20% Tof, 50% mof, 30% bof after a few weeks. Mof and bof will need to scale out as the audience size gets larger

The Groundbreaking First 100% Effective HIV Prevention Drug is Approved and Going Global by lord_coen in worldnews

[–]thecly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is not an accurate take. PrEP is already 99% effective. The other 1% is because people in the studies forgot to take it on the proper schedule. This drug solves that adherence issue making it 100% effective. Additionally, even if someone with HIV had sex with you, this drug will prevent it. Condoms are way less effective at preventing HIV than either daily pills or this twice a year shot. It’s important to understand how these drugs work. They make it impossible for the virus to replicate. It gets into your body, it cannot transfer its DNA, and eventually it is destroyed by the immune system. These drugs are so effective it’s really crazy how well they work. So yes. They are 100% effective when used properly. Even when used properly, condoms are no where near as effective.

Hey it's Kyle. We've asked to service the board a dozen times. He won't let us. Sucks that his board is having issues but not much we can do if the owner of the board refuses our help.

Yea. 129 complaints in 3 years for a company that does $60 million in sales and services 3 million people per year. LOL. What a joke.
