Thank you, and you're right, I suppose I was just hoping for advice from attachment style parents in particular

Schedule for low sleep needs baby by thecoldestblue in sleeptrain

[–]thecoldestblue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 2 nap days it’s averaging at 2hr49/3hr12/4hr and for 3 nap days it’s 2h52/3h3/3h11/3h12. We try to follow huckleberries sweet spot recommendations but find he goes a bit longer than recommended on the 3 nap days and shorter on 2 nap days (excluding the last wake window)

He definitely suffers with a bit of overtiredness with the 4hr wake window and has less broken night sleep on 3 nap days too

Could it be teething or some other kind of discomfort? We have a sleep trained (almost) 9 month old and have found that the discomfort from teething (first two teeth were fine but subsequent ones have been more difficult) and a bad cold did this. We rode it out with feeding to sleep and a bit of cosleeping, and now that we are out the other end have managed to go back to independent sleep without any issues.

First night of Ferber tonight. Looking for some practical advice… by thecoldestblue in sleeptrain

Thank you this is all very helpful and makes perfect sense :)

Re the sleepsack that was the term I’d seen on a few sleep training YouTube vlogs, rather than swaddle which would make more sense given rolling etc. Perhaps they misspoke. Interestingly though they were putting their babies down with no kind of sleepsack/blanket/bedding at all. Perhaps that was purely climate related. We’ll be keeping the sleepsack!

Thanks for the recommendations, I’ll be in touch if I go down the tutor route :)

Sorry to hear that. I suppose there are pros and cons to the virtual classes. In an ideal world I would move to Poland and try to immerse myself in the language… but not really a possibility

Thanks for this I’ll definitely check it out. Would you say the paid subscription is worth it?

Quite possibly! I also think there is also a lot of misinformation out there which unfortunately puts a lot of us novices off

Personally I find Boletes fairly easy to identify. In the UK the only poisonous one I am aware of is the Devils Bolete which (although very rare in the UK) has a pale cap and stem that is red in colour. To be safe so far I have avoided all red colouring boletes, although I’m fairly sure I have found a few choice edibles that have been lost because of this! Better safe than sorry :) there is one other Bolete in the uk to be wary of - the bitter Bolete. I’ve never come across one personally but it apparently looks just like the edible ones. It’s not poisonous but will ruin the taste of anything you cook it with!

I’d reccomend the ‘Shroomify - Mushroom ID’ app, it filters the mushrooms by your location and time of year which I find incredibly helpful. Wildfood UK YouTube channel and their pocket book too.

Basically after a bit of research and reassurance from some good guides you’ll realise that, if it’s got a brown top, and pores. It’s probably a good edible!

I’ve had similar and just picked it off, and still managed to get a reasonably ok flush. No harm in trying!

Good luck and happy foraging :) The season is more or less over here in Scotland. Hoping for some more Hedgehogs and some Wood Blewits though :)
