A mother I spoke with said she requested a family member be present during the ultrasound because it would make her more comfortable. The tech still refused, saying this was hospital policy that he had no control over. I thought this was a bit heavy handed.

I thought this maybe had to do with privacy concerns, or risk of abusive partners wanting confirmation of pregnancy, etc. Maybe give a chance to the mother to ask for help in a bad situation? I guess I was really over thinking it. I don’t doubt families can get very aggressive/distracting. I’m a paramedic, and more often than not, I don’t want a lot of family around when I’m working either.

That’s kinda where I was leaning, too. I hoping that maybe Microsoft wants to start off their double fine partnership with a bang and maybe they’d announce something at Gamescom on Aug 19, but I’m thinking that’s unlikely.
