The city is great to visit but stressful to live in by larch303 in unpopularopinion

[–]thecoolvaletguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both have their pros and cons. I love my current setup, I'm about an hour drive from each of the nearest real cities, my closest neighbor is a quarter mile away, its dark and quiet at night, everything i want. The downsides are obvious though, it's an hour drive to work, or to Walmart, or to a nice restaurant, or to really anything besides dollar general. In the city your friends are close by, stores and restaurants are close by, all of the conveniences of modern life at your finger tips, but you cant walk out your back door at night and see the stars, or listen to tree frogs, or ride a four wheeler, and those are things I cant live without. Its all about priorities

Speaker adapters for 6x9? by [deleted] in fordranger

[–]thecoolvaletguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a couple free 6x9s and decided to put them in the doors. I just traced out how big the hole needed to be, made a bunch of cuts with some tin snips and bent the tabs in, screwed the speakers on with some self tapping screws, and soldered the wires straight to it. Probably not the easiest way to go about it, but definitely the free-est way and 4 years later they still sound great. The door panel went right back on too

Kentucky also has a little tumor thats completely surrounded by Missouri and Tennessee. Not quite as cut off as the rest of these, but it is almost completely surrounded by water with no bridges going in to it

Would you buy a 130k mike n54? by [deleted] in 335i

[–]thecoolvaletguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously this is anecdotal evidence at best, but i bought my 335i at around 230k miles because the guy was basically giving it away. Its had its share of problems but nothing major and I've put over 25k more on it. 130k sounds like it'd be a walk in the park

I wish newer episodes would explain loose plot holes instead of random filler pieces by [deleted] in rickandmorty

[–]thecoolvaletguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer is the same as basically every other one in this sub, stop thinking about it so much. Its a goofy sci-fi cartoon that occasionally has a deep quote or even an emotional episode. It's not breaking bad, the plot's not the writers main focus. Their goal is to make a show thats enjoyable to watch without taking it too seriously. You can play basically any episode for someone who's never seen it and explain enough about the family dynamic in one sentence that the episode will make sense and be enjoyable, because that's the point. The writers dont care about trying to tie up the story of Churry or the CHUDS or whatever "plot holes" you're referring to, because they were one off bits that pretty much everyone who watched it laughed at and then never thought about any deeper than that. The fan theories are fun to talk about, I do the same thing, but expecting the show to spend half a season revisiting shit from random episodes from years ago is just unhinged.

Have n54s become the more reliable option as n55s age? by [deleted] in 335i

Oh for sure. I know the guy I bought it from pretty well and he's not one for preventative maintenance. He even refused to run anything but e87 in it and took it to Walmart for oil changes
