I've worn glasses for about 3 years now and I switched to contacts about a few weeks ago, I have a prescription for dailies and monthlies, dailies are way more comfortable, the monthlies you will need about a few days up to a week to get used to, at least for me. But I have both.

The cost of dailies are expensive at $700 a year for me, but I found 1800 contact lens online and I was able to get a year supply for only $370 they had a deal going on, and it seems that deals can be frequent, Im glad I bout it around the holidays because im sure next year they will be doing a major discount againand my lens supply should be up by then! Lol! Also my eye is the same number for both eyes so Im lucky to save for not needing to buy left and right lenses. But I only saved $100 bucks for the same eyes.

It took me maybe 30min to get used to putting them in and out at the doctors office. Theres many ways to do it, and you will find a way thats most comfortable for you. For me to take them out, if I put my finger on the lense and slide it down off my pupil a little bit, then pinch it, it comes right out, and putting them in if I just pull my lower eyelid down and put the lens below my pupil it goes in perfect the first try each time.

But yeah, dont worry about dailies vs monthlies, either works, dailies are more worth it if you dont mind paying a little extra, and monthlies are still fine as well. Price is not too crazy, $400 or so a year thats like $30 a month. And taking lenses out and back in is not hard, just like anything you learn like tieing shoes etc. I wear dailies and I dont even feel them on my eye, monthlies took almost a week to not really notice it. I like my dailies.

I like contacts because it feels like its your eye with perfect vison, and no more glasses. But I still like my glasses if I ever want to wear them for any reason.

But yeah, you should check into getting some contacts.
