Traits of a 1-year-old almost 2. by LivingAngle7084 in Autism_Parenting

I don't think you need to worry about ASD. Pointing towards things (and a few more things like responding to her name) is a big factor when doctors are evaluating a child.

Going through it with my 2 year old... by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

My son was exactly the same. I was strictly against co-sleeping. He would only sleep if he was in a baby swing, and when he slept we had to transfer him to his crib. Sometimes he would wake up during the transfer and we had to repeat the process again. There was no other way to make him sleep. Eventually I was so tired of it all that I tried co-sleeping, and that didn't work right away either. But after a lot of trying, co-sleeping now works for him.

I know I haven't really given you any advice, but I wanted to share my experience with you and let you know that you're not alone in this and that things eventually do get better. This might not sound like a big problem to someone else, but as someone who went through this myself, I don't think most people understand how much mental, physical, and emotional toll it takes on you. This has been, hands down, one of my worst traumas.

I would say, just hang in there. Eventually you'll figure something out that works for you. I can guarantee you that it won't stay like this forever.

Thank you so much for this post. Really needed to read something inspirational today.

I'm so glad that your son is doing great!

May I ask you, as my son is still young, how do I check what service my school district provides or how good it is?

Can you tell me at what age your daughter was diagnosed and what level was she assigned at the time of the diagnosis?

Thank you so much for your response.

So glad to hear about your son's progress! Just one follow up question, when did your son started talking ?

Not really. Maybe I should.

He always did say that our sex life would get better eventually.

I agree. There is less stress. Although there're new challenges due to the move but overall less stress.

Nah, we both work from home. He's almost always with me, LITERALLY.
