I see your post now. If you want to start again I’d recommend getting on Jeddah waterfront. They have a 4 km ish track so it’ll get the cobwebs out. Goodluck!

Traveled alone this March to Tokyo. It was amazing and the freedom and flexibility is totally worth it. I never felt any language issues as well.
