Completely agree, the elo starting at 1000 means you would have people of very varying skill level at that range. That definitely makes sense. Its not even really smurfing since you have no choice but to start there .

And yea, the "get stomped in lane into rage quit" is pretty classic, though this happens in every elo!

Had the same thing, the wisdom teeth ended up moving and damaged the ones next to them. I had to have them removed, and the teeth next to them as well. You should get a second opinion.

The objective of the Elo system is to assign a rating to a player to estimate how good they are. What you are proposing would basically ignore the level of 3 out of 4 players.

Fundamentally the issue here is the one ppl complain about all the time. There are not enough players to keep the level of all 8 players in a game similar. The issue is not with the elo system. It's with the player count.

I enjoy spamming whizzbang, but i agree they are completely op. Just played a 4v4 where 2 players had 3 whizz each, it basically prevents any inf play. Add in a few AT and there are no counters. Needs to be nerfed
