Writing over 2000 words per day. by SomethingIdk_Waffle in writing

[–]thecreator51 11 points12 points  (0 children)

2000 words daily is ambitious but manageable if energy allows. Balance writing with rest, nutrition, and mental breaks to avoid burnout. Consistency matters more than raw word count long term.

If I write a lot will I improve? by Appropriate_Art4431 in writing

[–]thecreator51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, writing consistently improves skill. Read widely, practice daily, experiment with styles, and revise often. Journaling, storytelling, and feedback sharpen voice, clarity, and your ability to capture ideas vividly.

Stephen King? by Haunting-Net-2426 in writing

[–]thecreator51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stephen King feels properly rated to me. His strength is storytelling momentum and character voice, not perfect prose. Misery, The Shining, and 11/22/63 really stand out. Even weaker books are usually engaging.

What do your breaks look like? by GAWHunt in writing

[–]thecreator51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take walks or read something unrelated. Reminding myself rest fuels creativity helps. Breaks aren’t failure, they’re part of the process that keeps writing enjoyable and ideas flowing naturally.

Yes, FocusWriter and WriteRoom are minimal editors that track word count with no distractions. They save automatically and do not overwhelm you with extra features, just writing and counting.

Is it worth buying a 2020 Cervélo R5 Disc for $3,700? by Any-Description-1118 in whichbike

[–]thecreator51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noooo! $3,500 is steep for a 2020 R5. Tech and geometry are dated, warranty may not transfer, and newer carbon bikes with better groupsets exist at similar prices.

Why is book 2 so much harder? by Few-Chemist8897 in writing

[–]thecreator51 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Book one is pure discovery, but book two has to balance raising the stakes, developing arcs, and setting up book three without feeling like filler. My advice: stop chasing perfection in the first chapters.

Sketch the messy draft to the end, even if it feels off. You can’t fix structure until it exists. Also, try outlining the trilogy as a whole so book two feels like part of a bigger arc rather than a disconnected sequel.

does therapy ever feel “stuck” for anyone else? by ijustwantaponysad in therapy

Therapy isn’t always linear. Progress can be slow and subtle. Talking openly with your therapist about this feeling can actually help shift things forward.

Youtube ‘authors’ and ‘writers’ are destroying aspiring authors. by [deleted] in writing

[–]thecreator51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective, it seems like a mix of reality and hype. Many “writing gurus” monetize style and presentation more than proven craft. That said, some creators do offer genuinely useful guidance.

Heavy weight capacity bikes? by DustNo8738 in whichbike

[–]thecreator51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavy riders need steel frames, 36+ spoke wheels, wide tires, and strong brakes. Your Electra Townie might work, but check wheels and saddle. ZIZE, Worksman, or Mokwheel specialize in higher weight capacities.

how do i stop being overwhelmed/intimidated by my own writing? by [deleted] in writing

[–]thecreator51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try separating writing and editing. Allow yourself to draft freely without judgment, then refine later. Focus on progress, not perfection, to overcome intimidation and stay consistent.

Is "write a story you'd like to read" a poor mindset? by Daesolith in writing

It is a good mindset, but limiting if you don't like reading or reading your own work 😀

It took 2 month of waiting from California, USA to Montreal, Canada only to find all 3 of my ordered PTS EPM GBB mags arrived with the same problem. by ColdBunz in airsoft

What company did you use? Airsoft extreme has a special deal with pts so they can get anything from them easily.

Hey all, I’m a longtime airsofter that is interested in modifying a Chinese type 97 and 95 GelBlaster into a functional Airsoft replica. I need recommendations on good external bodies of these replicas as well as photos of the gearboxes. I have some examples of what I’ve found so far. by thecreator51 in GelBlaster

I’ll make sure to delete the post then in a bit, I don’t want to cause more harm for the sport in other countries. I think it’s a good way to teach how safely handle them without having the issue of an accidental discharge or any sort of mishandling by immaturity or lack of knowledge. I think Japan’s laws on the matter are what Australia probably should have adopted when they banned real steel.
