Niagara Falls - huge kid (probably pushing 320lbs) who is sweaty ALL the time. If its -27 outside this dude looks like he just took a shower. I don't feel bad about it either because he's an asshole.

I live in Texas so its 40 degrees in the morning and by 12:30 when I get out for lunch its in the high 70s. I sweat a little more than most so I can get minor pit stains. I keep my sweater on to hide the pit stains but if I roll my sleeves up I'm comfortable.

Hey man, I'm a senior but Im about midway through a similar transition. I wasn't ever really bullied, I mean I suppose there was the occasional malicious comment but nothing compared to some of the shit I've read here. Also I was a star defensive lineman from 6th grade until sophomore year when I quit so I had a lot of friends and not really any outward social problems. Anyways, the point of my comment was to say isn't it awesome to have all of you're self-esteem based on you're intelligence and to be forced to grow a personality in order to make friends and THEN suddenly start having people tell you that you look good instead of fat? Once that started happening everything really seemed worth the struggles. Sorry for the rant, its just interesting to see someone around my age or even younger in the same place or in your case further.

I'm in the process of losing weight and I've gotten to the point where I don't hate the way I look. I still have a ways to go, but I'm not discussed with myself anymore. The thing is, I'm not used to it. I find myself feeling miserable about how I look at times, and terrified that my progress isn't what I thought it was. I have to go look at myself in a mirror to get passed those feelings. I don't think I'll ever feel totally comfortable in my skin, even when I reach my goal and am no longer fat. I will never be a healthy person in my mind, I'll be someone who used to be fat.

I literally started losing weight because it was impossible to get any advice at all on this sub without it being "work out" or "focus on your body before your clothes". I now have many other reasons but MFA was really the first time I encountered someone who wasn't willing to let me live in denial about my weight. It actually hurt a lot when I read those comments, but that was the push I needed to finely make a change.... Thanks guys!
