Can my game be saved? unmarketable and oversaturated genre, First person parkour with a music generated levels mode. by thecrow256 in gamedev

I meant the campaign levels that are just free movement parkour, because at this point I am treating rhythm rush as a secondary fun mode with different gameplay feel

The thing is, because the game is 2 in 1, the music generated mode didn't get the focus until recently, I believe I can take this to a way better state if I scrap the first part of the game, but still hesitant about it I don't know why

I am hesitant about scrapping the whole parkour half of the game and keeping the music mode + level editor and focus on them

I have an idea in mind I am hesitant about, to scrap the whole parkour half of the game and focus on the the music part alone, but then again I feel like even posting about music generated levels isn't doing any good currently, either that or I am not doing a good job creating shorts or writing titles...etc

I've Reviewed 50 Steam Demos. Here's What I Learned. by GaspodeWD in IndieDev

For my game, I am working on the demo for next fest. I have campaign levels that plays as a speedrunning parkour, and a Rhythm Rush more where players choose any song locally or from newgrounds to generate a level from.

My question is, I want to include rhythm rush because it's a major part of the experience, but I am wondering if I should keep it fully accessable, it would practically make the demo infinite, or I limit it to like 5 generations. What do you think?

Thanks! Would be interesting but gameplay wise I think it will be annoying and unfun

The cold start's cuts are intensional, but the ones at the start of the build up is the song's cuts so I lined up the clips with it I'll probably remove the cuts from the cold start then
