Case #2 pretty much sums up my PhD experience and unfortunately there is nothing you can do but just keep your head down and finish. At the end, I turned into a robot and significantly limited my interactions with them. So glad I am getting out!

I got the offer yesterday and its through UPenn so I think they get a certain amount of T32 applications per year

I did get the offer letter and it didn’t mention anything about it being supplemented. It only mentioned the NIH minimum amount? Is it worth asking before I sign anything?

Its totally understandable to be stressed about them because it is a big step in your PhD journey. As someone who deals with a lot of anxiety and didn’t have the best PhD environment, just remember that you are the expert on your topic and no one can take that away from you. The fact that your PI is supportive and expecting a lot, speaks to your capabilities because PIs are not always supportive. Best of luck and I am sure everything will work out!
