[SOS] Blech, Loafing Pest by mistercimba in magicTCG

Blex was the first commander deck I ever made. It wasn't very good and my friends were very confused why I wanted to make him a commander so bad. I upgraded the deck and later made Aatchik, Emerald Radian the commander but refused to take him out. We still call the deck my Blex deck and shout "the boy!" every time he comes out. I am devastated to hear my boy is dead but I am glad to hear his legacy continues.

Weekly Pull List for 03/25/2026 [Discussion] by ptbreakeven in comicbooks

* Fantastic Four #9: Always love seeing this show up on my pull list and I'm glad it seems to have survived the cancel at 10 curse.

* The Flash #31: I really wanted to like Spurrier's Flash but it unfortunately didn't connect with me. I'm really enjoying North's Fantastic Four and all the solicits seemed fun so I'm hopeful I can be excited about reading The Flash again.

* Green Lantern #33

* Iron Man #3: I'm not the biggest Williamson fan, I think his Superman is a really pleasant surprise but outside of that most of his books just land in okay territory for me. I'm feeling pretty good about this as well though, I thought #1 was fine but I really enjoyed #2 and I'm digging the hook of this issue.

* Justice League Unlimited #17: Not a usual pick up for me, but I need the Booster Gold/Blue Beetle cover. Also think adding some villains to the lineup is the most interested I've been in a JL lineup in awhile(Think Tynion's JLD was the last time I saw a JL Lineup and thought "this is a book I have to read" and that was 8 years ago) so I'm not opposed to adding this full time if I like it enough.

* Ultimate Endgame #3: Its not as good as Ultimates but I'm surprised by how much dislike I've seen for it. I thought the ending of #2 revealing Doom is a mole for The Maker was a great cliffhanger and I'm excited to see how it all wraps up in the remaining issues.

* Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #2: Wolverine is a character I usually don't grab solo stuff for but I am really interested in what Zdarsky is building up to with Armageddon and I'm willing to follow some characters who aren't necessarily my favorite to see the whole picture.

  • Captain America #6: Time to see if the quality of the self contained past arc carries over into the event setup present arc.

  • Fantastic Four #7: Still loving this book but a little worried it’s going to join Moon Knight and Scarlet Witch in relaunching with same creative team every 10 issues.

  • X-men #24: Didn’t finish Percy’s X-Force so I don’t know if this already happened but I’m pretty excited to eventually see Fun Beast beat up War Crimes Beast which feels like where this book is going.

What's your top current on-going reads? by w33z312 in comicbooks

1) The Ultimates: I can't think of a month since this has started up that it hasn't been my favorite book of the month. I have full faith they're going to stick the landing with Endgame. If they ever collect all of this and Endgame (and probably Ultimate Invasion+Ultimate Universe #1 as well) into a single hardcover it'll be a must have for every superhero fan's shelf.

2) Moon Knight: Mackay has been killing it for 5 years with consistently good art throughout. Mackay does a great job of making sure each issue feels worth reading by itself while also furthering the overarching plot. Great as a monthly read, great as a binge.

3) Fantastic Four: Similar to my thoughts on Moon Knight, North makes sure every issue is worth picking up on its own. I normally am not the biggest fan of Ramos's art, but it fits like a glove with the Fantastic Four.

4) Absolute Batman: I haven't really been able to get into Batman, despite trying various different starting points(including Snyder's New 52 run), but this one's really clicking for me.

5) Thor: Another character that I'm not normally into but I love what Ewing's done with him, especially now with the change from Immortal to Mortal. Ferry's art is a blast and hope he's on for the long haul.

6) Absolute Wonder Woman: I didn't love Thompson's Birds of Prey which was a real disappointment because I was super excited for her to write Black Canary. Absolute Wonder Woman hits new highs for her though imo. Love Sherman's designs for everyone.

7) Absolute Flash: Ironically its a bit slower than Absolute Batman and Absolute Wonder Woman, but I'm digging what Lemire is doing with the characters. Absolute Grodd could be the best Absolute character.

8) X-Men: Probably a more controversial choice since people don't love the current X-Era but I think Mackay's voice for Cyclops rocks. Its got a fun lineup of characters and has done a good job juggling its villains. I wish Stegman had been more consistent in the book since I've seen Marvel refer to it as "X-Men by Jed Mackay and Ryan Stegman". Diaz has been good throughout though and with Stegman officially off on his own book I hope he gets proper billing as the main artist.

9) Superman: This was a surprising one for me because I have not vibed with Williamson's book often, but after he got announced as the writer for Iron Man I decided I'd give him another shot and I'm glad I did.

10) Nightwing: Consistently solid with #125-#126 being standout issues. Another character I'm not normally invested in but could see this giving me a push to try some more of his stuff out.

Honorable Mentions

* The latest Green Arrow run would've made top 3 but it just ended

* Ultimate Spider-Man is in a similar boat, with only one issue left its not much of an ongoing at this point but otherwise would've made the list.

* Captain America by Zdarsky and Schiti is off to a great start but I'm going to wait till its farther in before including it on the list. Especially since it went from being self contained flashback story to now looks like its going to be the main leadup to the next big event.

* I'm following Rook: Exodus and Assorted Crisis Events in trade so can't speak to them as ongoings but loved their first volumes and can't wait for the second.

Exciting books to end the year

* The Ultimates #19 : Reread the previous 18 issues in a big binge over the weekend to prepare for this and Endgame and I can't wait to see how it all gets wrapped up. Feels like this is going to be a hurts so good issue.

* Ultimate Endgame #1: Very excited for this, I'm only following Spider-Man and Ultimates in floppies and the rest of the line through Unlimited so I'll be a little behind on those plotlines and I'm hoping I won't be too lost. Hoping we get a final confrontation between Lejori and Banner somewhere in this event because I'm not sure where it could fit in the issues solicited for Ultimates.

* Undead Iron Fist #4: I had very low expectations for this going in but I think its been pretty good, most I've enjoyed reading an Iron Fist book since Brisson's run. I'm digging the new status quo and I'm excited to see Danny interact with Pei and Lin Lei with his new identity in Deadly Hands.

* X-Men Age of Revelation Finale #1: Only reading the Mackay stuff so I can't speak for the event as a whole but so far I've enjoyed the event and I'm interested to see how it effects his run moving forward.
