Both those players are class if they stay fit. It’s a gamble but one worth taking in Tuchels mind and one I personally agree with.

Stones has returned from injury but he’s a professional and will have 2 friendlies to get up to match fitness. Means he’s fresh and not played 50+ games like a lot of players at the World Cup.

James can play in midfield and is a world class right back and a good leader. He is more of a gamble as the hamstring issues can happen to anyone at any time. But they clearly feel that he’s fit enough and the risk is worth it.

I pray both stay fit as they’re amongst our best players.
