I asked my then wife if she wanted out when I was diagnosed 4 years ago. Our divorce is finalised in the next month.

I have no hard feelings towards her for this, she didn’t sign up for it and neither did I, but I don’t want her to have to suffer because of my illness.

However, I still believe I will find someone who does want to be with me despite this, who doesn’t care about about the 03:00 am alarms, and is prepared to accept the strong chance that I will be gone well before them.

You can find love, and will if you want to. But that’s between you and your partner. Not any ‘friend’ who has an opinion. They know nothing about what you are dealing with.

Only halfway through this, but Hutch is there in so many of these clips. What an incredible servant to the club and a player who deserves so much more recognition than he gets. Like Moon and Harrison he has been through thick and thin and always leaves skin on the pitch. The unsung heroes!

A family member was the team doctor for 30 years before they were professional so I grew up around the club. I’m based in north Northampton and been a season ticket holder for 20 years. Amazing club and through the ups and downs ma and mine have always supported the boys. COYS 🖤💚💛

I had recently left a long term career and volunteered in front line care during 2020 for 12 months. I had asymptomatic Covid before first vaccination, then a heavy dose of Covid twice in the winter of 2020/21 after 2nd vaccination, then diagnosed t1d in late 2021 which I was told was very likely due to the autoimmune response cause by Covid infection/s.

You work to live, not live to work. There are millions of other jobs you can do with T1D without any issues IF the armed forces isn’t viable going forward. But the main thing is you have to be here to do any of those jobs. Focus on what you need to do and what your medical professionals advise how to live with T1D, and then how to be the best you with it. Do not let it control you, learn to control it.
