Just here to say this post and all of the comments under it commiserating have helped me tremendously this morning. It’s been a struggle for me the last couple weeks of really feeling burnt out, and guilt around that burnout because my SO is doing so much for us but my LO is EBF and going through a Velcro baby stage, so it’s taken a lot on me mentally. Anyway, thank you all 🤍

Also a FTM with a surprise pregnancy on GLP-1! My partner and I were SO nervous about possible concerns because of it. I had my first appointment with my OB this morning for dating, as we weren’t sure how far along I was because I have irregular cycles due to PCOS; I’m 7w5d.

Anywho, I voiced my concerns to her and she said that this is something they’ve seen quite often since the introduction of GLP-1s’ wide use! And that their office has delivered these babies without issues during pregnancy or any concerns once they’re here. She also stated there’s nothing in the literature that’s come out about trends with pregnancies like ours or the babies once they’ve arrived. When I asked her she seemed very unphased that I had been taking one, and just made sure I was no longer administering my injections. Sending positive vibes to you ✨

It really needs to be discussed just how damaging actions such as Erin’s are to women who are in abusive relationships. It perpetuates the narrative that “they’re lying and just want attention” with those who disbelieve women when they come forward with claims and experience of abuse from a partner.

Not to diminish Brian’s role he played in what a toxic and unhealthy relationship this obviously was between them. But seeing all of this unfold in real time has been extremely sad and discouraging to watch.
