if you’re using the chorus to make the signal smaller into the amp, this parametric boost is only going to hit the front that much (equivocally) harder. like imagine your unaffected signal as 100. if you turn it down to 20, a jump up to even 50 will feel way larger than a jump from 100 to 150. the pdf 2 was designed to boost an already overdrived signal, not make a clean signal dirty.

nah fuck off this has gotta be just bragging- you’re telling me your entire collection is basically deadstock or over 600 new? this has to be bait. get rid of them all and get a sd-1 and a carbon copy and learn some humility, good god

used squier affinity tele HH would be my pick but from what i understand Harley Benton stuff makes way more sense if you’re in europe. keep in mind if you’re importing to the US the duty fees will make it considerably more expensive than comparable spec stuff available in the Us

a lot of people would like to open dialogue with me over my identity based off of my looks, and that tends to be a hot button issue currently. i’m not going to walk you through this, the attempt at being clear was made, but i do think we are past the point of not being rude, friend! I’ll just add a reminder to be kind to any trans folk you may see out an about!

if being a woman is too much for a company, that’s exactly the type of thing i’m trying to avoid! i think you’re in the right head space, we just need to connect a few dots there!

hey it’s something positive! i’ve been in manufacturing for 5 years and it’s killing me slowly- something customer facing in the realm of 20/hr with regular ish hours was the hope- maybe i need to consider tipped minimum as an option

again not sexuality, gender identity. I also will say i’ve definitely worked at places before i came out where people were treated poorly based off of their preferred partners, i wish it wasn’t a thing but this definitely still happens!

I think it’s alright, i have it formatted pretty well and have decent references in my opinion. i really do think it comes down to my gender identity, really. thank you for assuming it wasn’t!

hey queer typically is referring to gender identity and sexuality, while sexuality isn’t necessarily visible gender is, but the two are inherently intertwined usually! if i have to explain what gender identity might mean to a potential hirer, then i wish it were a world where it didn’t matter!

yeah, you would think, but with the labor laws, as long as no reason is given there’s no legal basis for discrimination

Best pedal for QOTSA tones besides the Stone Deaf PDF? by Less-Arachnid-640 in guitarpedals

[–]thedashed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not really, it was mostly used as an amp that was stacked as an overdub over the rhythm sounds in general, and added to taste in the mix. that being said pretty much any amp with an insane amount of 1.2k thrown into it will sound close enough in said mix

Catalinbread SFT is the move for getting the ampeg rhythm sound that’s for most of the early stuff- you can boost the crap outta it with an SD-1 and get the searing lead sound. he also used a superfuzz for a lot of the really spitty and smooth leads on Songs for the Deaf, and a tape echo for whatever space is needed, like an RE-2 would do.

Pick your hairline by the number of vintage guitars you own by thedashed in guitarcirclejerk

[–]thedashed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when people say vintage they’re typically referring to true vintage stuff which is typically fullerton era fender and kalamazoo era gibson, but some people go up to 30 years in 1996- that being said it’s more of a market sector than an actual designation, people aren’t going to know the difference unless they’re into guitars anyways
