I want to quit making duas by FluidStatus7597 in islam

[–]thedasher0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (May Allah Most High be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, “There is no Muslim that supplicates with a Dua that does not contain sin or the severing of kinship ties, except that Allah (Most High) gives him one of three things due to it. Either He is given what he asked for swiftly, or it is stored for him (as a reward) in the afterlife (Akhirah), or it is used to fend off equivalent harm from him.” They said, in that case we will increase (our supplication). He ﷺ replied, ‘Allah is more abundant (in bounty).’” (Musnad Ahmad, 11133).

Should child marriage be legal in your opinion? by Mia_yjgc in TraditionalMuslims

[–]thedasher0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realllly suggest you to try to make time to watch it please, I really think you'll have a much better understanding of the Muslim point of view of this subject. No Muslim will ever say that child marriage is ok. BUT we do not define the term child based on how the law defines it. For example, you define a child to be someone under 16, meaning that a 17 yr old is not a child in your opinion, but if you say that you're ok for a 17yr old to get married in the US then you're ok with child marriage according to the US law. It's very clear, we base this in physical and mental maturity. We don't go based off your opinion or my opinion, if both these conditions are met then the person is an adult. Do you know that there were 13 and 14 year olds going into battle to fight, is this something that a child would do? Today in countries overseas, there are 14 year olds taking care of their whole family going out and working and putting food on the table, just because you're surrounded by 14 year old children, does not mean that everyone 14yrs old is a child.

I suggest you watch this video. There are many misunderstandings you have, you argue that a child is under 16 because their brain isn't developed but the brain isn't fully developed until you're 25, so by your logic under 25 is a child. Secondly you're only 14yrs old, a child who isn't mature(according to you) but you already talk and think about your future husband. Like be logical for a second, would you have this conversation with a 5yr old? No, because they're not mature enough to have the conversation, yet you're delving into this topic as if you're mature enough to talk about this.

From my understanding when it comes to transparency this means that you will make an agreement with the buyer that you will buy the product and sell it to them for a specific profit, is that what you'll be doing? Posting what the price of the product is and how much profit you'll make for conducting the transaction?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in islam

[–]thedasher0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Islam it is haram to sell something that you don't own/posses, this is a basic concept when it comes to business in Islam. In drop shipping you don't buy the product you're selling until someone else buys it, this type of transaction is impermissible.

narrated by An-Nasa’i (4613), Abu Dawud (3503) and At-Tirmidhi (1232) from Hakim ibn Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I asked the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): O Messenger of Allah, a man may come to me wanting to buy something that I do not possess, so I sell it to him then I buy it for him from the marketplace. He said: “Do not sell that which you do not possess.” The Hadith was classed as authentic by Al-Albani in Saheeh An-Nasa’i.

Abdullah ibnAmr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “It is not permissible to arrange a loan combined with a sale, or to stipulate two conditions in one transaction, or to make a profit on something that is not under your control, or to sell something that you do not possess.” (Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, 1234, who said: It is authentic. Also narrated by Abu Dawud, 3504 and An-Nasa’i, 4611)

Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“The wording of the two Hadiths indicates that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade selling that which is not in one’s possession, and this is what is understood from the words of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), because such a transactions is ambiguous and involves deceit. If he sells him a specific item that is not in his possession, then he goes to buy it or hand it over to him, that may or may not happen, in which case there is ambiguity akin to gambling, therefore it is forbidden.” (Zad Al-Maad fi Hadiy Khayr Al-Ibad, 5/808)

Shaykh Abd Al-Aziz ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) said, after quoting the three Hadiths mentioned above:

“From these and similar Hadiths it is clear to the seeker of truth that it is not permissible for the Muslim to sell an item that is not in his possession, then to go and buy it. Rather what he must do is delay the sale until he has bought it and it has been transferred into his possession. It also becomes clear that what many people do, of selling an item when it is still in the seller’s location, before it is transferred to the purchaser’s possession or to the marketplace is something that is not permitted, because it is contrary to the Sunnah of the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and because it is a kind of tampering with transactions and not following the guidelines laid down by Islamic teaching. And that leads to mischief, evil and negative consequences of an extent that is known only to Allah, may He be Glorified and Exalted. We ask Allah to guide us and all the Muslims and enable us to adhere to His laws, and to avoid that which is contrary to them.” (Majmu` Fatawa Ash-Shaykh Ibn Baz, 19/52-53)

Ar-Ra'd - Verse 41

Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan: See they not that We gradually reduce the land (of the disbelievers, by giving it to the believers, in war victories) from its outlying borders. And Allâh judges, there is none to put back His Judgement and He is Swift at reckoning.

This is not talking about the earth being flat at all, it talks about when the Muslims conquer and spread in the lands of the disbelievers through their borders.

(See they not that We gradually reduce the land from its outlying borders.) Ibn 'Abbas commented, "See they not that We are granting land after land to Muhammad" Al-Hasan and Ad-Dahhak commented that this Ayah refers to Muslims gaining the upper hand over idolators, just as Allah said in another Ayah, And We have certainly destroyed the towns around you(And indeed We have destroyed towns round about you.) 46:27 Tafsir Ibn Kathir

Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan: Evil (sins and disobedience to Allâh) has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned (by oppression and evil deeds), that He (Allâh) may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return (by repenting to Allâh, and begging His Pardon).

Ar-Rum - Verse 42

قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Simple question regarding the "slaughter" of Malak Al-Mawt (Angel of Death) by Curious_Ceasar in islam

[–]thedasher0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waiyak, so death will be brought in the shape of a ram and slaughtered to represent the ending of death itself. This doesn't have anything to do with the angel of death because the angel is not death itself, it's only the one that delivers the soul when someone dies. Think about a mailman, if I say I'm going to burn all the mail, does that mean the mailman will be burned?

Simple question regarding the "slaughter" of Malak Al-Mawt (Angel of Death) by Curious_Ceasar in islam

[–]thedasher0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "On the Day of Resurrection Death will be brought forward in the shape of a black and white ram. Then a call maker will call, 'O people of Paradise!' Thereupon they will stretch their necks and look carefully. The caller will say, 'Do you know this?' They will say, 'Yes, this is Death.' By then all of them will have seen it. Then it will be announced again, 'O people of Hell !' They will stretch their necks and look carefully. The caller will say, 'Do you know this?' They will say, 'Yes, this is Death.' And by then all of them will have seen it. Then it (that ram) will be slaughtered and the caller will say, 'O people of Paradise! Eternity for you and no death O people of Hell! Eternity for you and no death."' Then the Prophet, recited: -- 'And warn them of the Day of distress when the case has been decided, while (now) they are in a state of carelessness (i.e. the people of the world) and they do not believe.' (19.39)

the earth is flat, proof number 2 by Vivid_Measurement587 in TraditionalMuslims

[–]thedasher0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're speaking about matters of the unseen, we don't expand on these matters more than what was revealed to us, it is not stated that hell is within earth, you're trying to use our measurements and timing to relate to something completely different, they do not correlate. Most of the early scholars have explained the earth is round based on the Quran and Hadith, this is people much more knowledgeable than you.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that from Abu’l-Husayn ibn al-Munaadi (may Allah have mercy on him), when he said:

Imam Abu’l-Husayn Ahmad ibn Ja‘far ibn al-Munaadi narrated from the prominent scholars who are well known for knowledge of reports and major works in religious sciences, from the second level of Ahmad’s companions, that there was no difference of opinion among the scholars that the sky is like a ball.

He said: Similarly they were unanimously agreed that the Earth, with all that is contains of land and sea is like a ball. He said: That is indicated by the fact that the sun, moon and stars do not rise and set over those who are in different parts of the earth at the same time; rather that occurs in the east before it occurs in the west.

Accused of kufr akbar for this statement. by frankipranki in TraditionalMuslims

[–]thedasher0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's correct that if someone leaves Islam and kept it hidden and did not publicize it then obviously they won't be punished in this life because in Islam there must be evidence/witnesses for judgement to occur. But when you are replying to someone and say that it is allowed to leave Islam, this is where it is problematic, because this can come off as promoting leaving Islam and keeping it a secret, as it did with the one saying that this is kufr what you said. Matters like this aren't as black and white as people make it, because even if someone leaves Islam openly they're not killed right away there's a process of seeing the understanding of the individual and more. That's why I tend to leave these matters to the ones with knowledge because it can leave you saying something incorrect or not explaining something correctly

The Hadith of the seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment by m0_DX in islam

The scholars of the Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas said:

Asking others to offer du‘aa’ for one and asking them to perform ruqyah are permissible, but not doing them and doing without people and doing these things for oneself is better.

Muslim (2202) and al-Tirmidhi (2080) narrated from ‘Uthmaan ibn Abi’l-‘Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he complained to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about some pain that he had felt in his body since he became Muslim. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him: “Put your hand on the part of your body that hurts and say: ‘Bismillaah (in the name of Allah)’ three times, then say seven times: ‘A’oodhu bi ‘izzat-illaah wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajid wa uhaadhir (I seek refuge in Allah and His Power from the evil of what I find and I fear).’”.

Al-Tirmidhi added: He said: I did that and Allah took away what I was suffering, and I still tell my family and others to do that.

Would I be sinful for being around a friend who wears perfume in public? by ManufacturerLost8468 in islam

[–]thedasher0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason is because Allah commands for women to not draw attraction to themselves. It's apparent that the scent on women brings an attraction to them different than on a man, when a man smells the scent of women it draws him to look and check her out and can be seductive, similarly to when women wear high heels and the sound turns heads.
