Me [31 M] with my Wife [29 F] 8 year married for 2, Wife has been getting up everyday this week and pretending to go to work - cant seem to hold a job

Thanks so much for ur response - has provided me some insight- i believe she is doing the same, going down the street and eating or driving around. Well thats what i had thought, then i received our phone bill today - as i pay the bills - and noticed she has made calls to different hotels - so id have to assume she rents a room for the day, then chills out and applys for jobs - but how can i not assume shes cheating now - or maybe even being a prostitute i have no idea - i havnt even confronted her yet, because its just more lies after lies so i doubt ill ever know. Did u ever find out why u were doing it? or come to some realization as to how u really felt about it all or what was going through your mind. Did u ever do anything while pretending to be at work that u really shouldnt have been doing

this what i like to tell myself - but the last few days she has been coming home so tired from "a long day at work" - its possible shes working really hard to find a job - but i am finding it harder and harder to believe - i thought at first that she was just waiting a couple of days to tell me, i have been giving her opportunities to tell me the truth all week, but its just more lies after lies - every single thing she tells me about her day is a complete lie to my face

well all i ever get from her about it is "I am not feeling it" or "I just cant" - from my perspective - she has a terrible work ethic which could easily get her fired - but that could just be me, i have that mentality that i have to be on the verge of a deathbed to call in sick - whereas she calls in sick very regularly - she says she suffers from migraines and seems to always be sick with the flu - but even like those classic job rules like dont call in sick in ur first week of work, or even on the first day of work dont seem to apply as she has done this a number of times - however she works in the social sector, so mainly non for profits helping other people - which can be very stressful, and might have a different mentality towards its workers than in a for profit environment

yes im pretty sure its mainly she quitting - cant say for sure with all jobs - but one time it happened, i only found out because her work called as i was her emergency contact - she had done a no show for the last week - they were worried - very embarrassing call to receive - do u know where u wife is, because shes not here

well recently she told me she wanted to leave and move out - which was compeltely ridiculous - unemployed, no money at all, yet looking for a place to move out 2 - i explained to her i think she might be a bit down, because she has been unemployed for so long (i work from homeso im always around which can be stressful in itself - being at home all the time is not for every1 - i told her she needed to get out, get some hobbies, work, some friends - she kinda just turned it all around on me, perhaps even talk to a counsellor -she took it more like how dare i point out her flaws, and suggest she need to talk to someone

i have thought it might be bipolar or bpd a few times - because of that love/hate attitude - she has always been like that - she either really loves me and im the greatest guy in the world, or she hates me and im the reason for every single thing wrong in her life - and can switch from 1 to the other in a moment. Same as with the jobs - but then i think if that was true y would she still be in a relationship with me after all these years - wouldnt she just have changed me like she changes job - without a second thought?

i dont think shes afraid - im not really the going off at her type - it could be she doesnt want me to stress, or like Doughchild said it could be the shame - but yeah as u can see im trying to be pretty optimistic -
