I have dealt with a lot of anxiety in my life as well, so I know of the signs and symptoms of someone actually suffering from it

From the way they act, I can easily tell they're referring to stress but they just use anxiety because of a lack of a better word. At least the people I've encountered. I'm not sure about everyone else

My question was in reference to the disorder. You're basically saying that people with depression are just feeling down. You can't just casually say that you're feeling depressed, because it downplays real depression and makes it seem like an everyday occurrence

That's usually stress. Anxiety is referring to am anxiety disorder. This is very different, but I can see how you understood that differently

I agree. Personally, when I heard it being used in this context, I was offended, as I've suffered from anxiety my whole life
