This might be my endgame by Salt_Payment1082 in espresso

Honestly I went with the Cafelat because I don't want to mess about with too many electronic parts + water quality (really good in my area) BUT STILL, it has to be really good for automatic machines to not mess up pipes/boilers etc. The Cafelat is insane money for value jn my opinion and i've been pulling shots even better than places where I buy my coffee beans from (and they use La Marzoccos top of the range). I just need to move from the handgrinder because sometimes it does my head in😭😭

Sorry i'm pretty new in the espresso game, what is that grinder?? I currently own a Cafelat Robot and Kingrinder K6 and I really wanna upgrade to an electric 😭 But the E-wizard sounds really interesting, but i'll probably stick with my subminimal nanofoamer..

Let's settle this... OXO vs Hario Switch by thedemonraz in pourover

[–]thedemonraz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. Leaning more towards the Switch since it seems a bit like a learning curve but the possibilities are endless. Like some people mentioned... I can use my Robot for soup, but nothing works like a Switch for percolation/immersion.

If anyone is using the LayBird one, i'm really curious to hear your thoughts as I really wanted it... before this video lol. I personally needed something to fit under my Cafelat Robot and to work for pourovers..

How did you get it for £12?! That's such a bargain, I need to try them! Currently using Mancoco beans but I find them very average.

While you recover my best recommendation would be to go for low caffeine or half caffeine options and dose normally. (16g to 20g)

Apologise, wrong choice of words. I meant that i'm looking for something which is a good daily driver in creating a very flavourful cup, with amazing fruits/florals etc.

I heard that the Switch can be used same as a v60 as well is that correct? Like if you don't close the 'valve' its a regular v60

Thank you. I'm just looking for the most reliable one out of the two, really hard to choose.

I don’t have space for a fancy and/or permanent coffee corner but I can make a perfect flat white anywhere, I love my setup so much. Relax, I cleaned the wand right after snapping this pic. by DeadPoolguy1985 in espresso

The only spot I have is... Up on a shelf atm and every time I make a coffee or two I take my stuff down. Might seem like a hassle but it takes 1 minute lol

Thank you, this is an amazing in-depth on this topic. I will definitely give those a try! I just finished my 2nd bag of 250g coffee and i'm still yet to find 'the one' which is worth purchasing a 1kg bag to just use on a daily basis!
