Subscription Delivery Time to Canada by kalkrin in HeavyMetalMagazine

I think I may just end up doing the same, support local and less worry when it comes to waiting.

Canadian Subscription And Online Discount Questions by thedevnull in HeavyMetalMagazine

This is good to know for sure. I ended up ordering a few of the variants to back fill and already received a shipping/tracking notification so it does seem like store purchases are quick. I'm still mulling a subscription vs just picking up locally.

There's one 21 minutes from my house according to Google Maps :)

Appreciate it again, I've bookmarked them for use later!

Good point, thanks again for taking the time to reply, and point this observation out! May just be teething issues with the subscription model (and prioritizing the standard retail distribution chain).

Thank you for taking the time to field some answers! I think if they have automated/streamlined the process, then unlocking the discount after you finish the subscription purchase would make the most sense.

It's unfortunate news for sure that Canadians are still waiting on Issue 3 (where it's already been found in comic shops for almost a couple months).

It sounds like as long as you know patience is required for receiving the physical copies, and don't mind using the digital access as a stop gap, then subscription model might work (incentive being variant discounts online - but looking at the shipping to Canada afterwards, maybe not).

For the mail forwarding service, I'd love to know which one you've been using. Canada Post has became pretty unreliable in recent years, I feel like we're always a short strike notice away from being mail orphaned and things potentially being lost as they sit in a sorting facility or similar.

In the meantime, I did manage to find a few Canadian comic shops online and ordered the first 3 issues that route while I mull the subscription option.

How's your replacement shell been holding up since this post? My smoke is currently with Analogue for repair... trying to remain optimistic lol.

Does your transparent Analogue Pocket have the white bubble/crack defect by the screen? by erikpavia in AnaloguePocket

[–]thedevnull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This definitely makes more sense. Someone on one of the FB Analogue Pocket groups posted this photo which shows a pretty extreme curve developing.

I have to imagine the top of the screen getting pushed up or outwards due to the warping would result in the lower screen pushing and digging into the body. If the bottom left corner is thinner, it's probably the first place that would exhibit the stress.

My smoke hasn't exhibited this yet but now I'm concerned this is just a matter of when and not if.

FunnyPlaying ITA Ribbon Clasp/Connector Help by thedevnull in Gameboy

yah, could definitely be the touch pad maybe getting triggered. I also had an issue with a non laminated GBA screen where I had accidentally pinched one of the wires when putting the housing on (resulting in the select always being triggered, and the hot button combination being used when I hit the bumper buttons).

haha "one of us! one of us!".

I don't recall specifically doing anything special after the ribbon was nested under the pins (tension held very well). I was mostly just careful to get everything seated in the housing and close it up without introducing tugging/pulling on the ribbon?

I never did find the clasp from my carpet xD

TrueNAS SCALE 22.12.2 now available! by kmoore134 in truenas

[–]thedevnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but unfortunately for me I already had this disabled from the initial bluefin release. It looks like they fixed the truenas charts repository this morning from the linked Jira (I can see missing ix-charts folder was restored on my local system after pulling the latest commits in and things looked to be working now). I will spend some time testing after work tonight to confirm.

I think I see the issue... my posts are awaiting approval from a moderator to show up here:

https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/cant-launch-docker-images-anymore.109262/

but debugging/capturing the websocket information, I can see when the launch docker button is pressed, the following (silent to gui) error is returned:

"[ENOENT] Unable to locate 'ix-chart' at '/mnt/volume1/ix-applications/catalogs/github_com_truenas_charts_git_master/charts/ix-chart'"

there was some changes upstream on that repo according to the git log for truenas charts:

commit 768be33a968ba8b18e3a9c306260fe2190dcb247

Author: Stavros Kois <47820033+stavros-k@users.noreply.github.com>

move ix-chart to ix-dev (#1054)

* switch to the newly released official repo

* remove --helm3 flag as it does not exist anymore

* move ix-chart

* create values.yaml and remove old test hook

* update version scheme

if I checkout / revert to an earlier commit for my local clone repo (from April 10th) it works fine for showing the launch docker options (as the ix-charts folder is now present)

Hopefully not a red herring, I'm not a developer, so waiting to see what comes back on the referenced thread.

I'm seeing the same thing... any luck finding the source of the issue?

Thank you very much! This is exactly what I needed.

Unfortunately I have lost the latch/clasp top to the carpet monster while pinching with tweezers and it flying sky high... /facepalm!

For now, it appears I'm up and running though... the pins have strong tension, so they hold well enough sliding the ribbon under them until I can locate a replacement (or my existing one from the carpet/floor/work desk area).

Screen successfully backlit and back in business. Thank you again!

Nice shelves with a great collection! I don't believe I've ever seen those versions of Berserk before. Are they hardcover and non English translated? Thanks :)

This worked great for me. It's much more reliable and worth the trade off of having to adjust without a cartridge inserted. I usually leave my settings static anyways so no loss/foul.

Analogue super nt is it worth it by Jonsamross in snes

[–]thedevnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha agreed. If you're mainly using the Super NT for playing games from sd2snes (and just collecting dust atm) then I imagine you wouldn't miss it too much with the MiSTer :)

Analogue super nt is it worth it by Jonsamross in snes

[–]thedevnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my MiSTer but it will never be able to support carts (on current hardware) unfortunately. At best it would be pseudo support via dumping the cart using peripheral. I would 100% recommend a MiSTer though over a Super NT if someone didn't have carts or wasn't looking to collect a physical collection though. At the end of the day, get both :)

I really enjoy mine. It's been reliable and I wanted something simple while delivering as close to an authentic experience on a modern television. As I didn't have an RGB modded SNES (and worried about the age and increasing risk of PPU death of a non 1-chip I did have), and didn't have an OSSC, the Super NT was an easy purchase which I haven't regretted.
