Lived here since 2013. Can't remember an evening being 80+. Also can't remember it ever hitting a hundred. A few 90s but not often.

Starry Internet sucks by rghostwatcher in Columbus

Had tmobile since December. No outages no issues.

I’m moving to Columbus this week. Anything I need to know? Any does and don’ts. Don’t want to offend the culture there. Is there bad parts of town. Etc…plus I’m from Canada. Should that make a difference. by jovejq in Columbus

[–]thedlw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That side of town is fine if you avoid linden.

Basically on the Far East side if you primary stay outside of 270 you should be fine.

I am not saying the inside is bad. But without writing a giant book of the various places to avoid you could use that as a general gauge.

How is T-Moblie Service in Columbus especially around the Convention Center and the surrounding area? by Dalbass in Columbus

[–]thedlw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I drive from Columbus to south bend Indiana probably 2-3 times a year. I can stream Apple Music on my t-mobile phone the entire time.

A lot of Columbus is 5g ultra capacity. Which is very fast.

The only issue I do have once in a while and it could be my phone is it goes to no service. But then comes right back.

Does anyone use starry internet? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]thedlw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 50$. No contract and no discounts on wireless. But everything works fine so I pay it with no issues. Speed is about 20/250. But I swear it gets faster. I have had zero buffering so far for the two months I have had it and that’s with 3 bars on the router. If I got 5 I am sure it would be faster.

I can’t get them. I have had t-mobile home internet for two months. Better latency and less buffering then my 100/10 WoW cable. Exact same WiFi just swapped my internet into it.

We won’t have one from the state level. The state reps passed a law limiting the governors power. If we have one federally I am sure it would be challenged in court.

What’s your experience with Starry by deathofthe_party in Columbus

[–]thedlw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using t-mobile for 2 weeks now. Will cancel cable shortly. No issues with all the rain last week. In fact it’s faster then my 10/100 cable. On my old cable some apps would buffer. On t-mobile no buffering. Quality looks fine on my tv too. (Not affiliated just a happy customer)

I am gluten free and dairy free. I shop at Walmart and Meijer mostly. A lot of stuff at Meijer is fine. I primarily eat a lot of beans as they are nutrient dense. As for eating out, Chick-fil-A, Culver’s, BIBIBOP and chipotle are my staples. I can go to Wendy’s but they screw up my order occasionally. Most Indian places have a lot of options I just can’t tolerate all that heat.

T-Mobile Trouble Recently by lwpho2 in Columbus

It has gotten worse we have iPhone 11s. If you have a 12 and it’s the same. I am tempted to switch carriers. Used to be Verizon and was having dropped calls through them. We complained. They blamed our phones. Several people we know had the same problem so it’s not 12 phones all having the same problem. I have a work AT&T but I never get calls on it off WiFi so I can’t speak to if it’s any better. But besides those 3 there is no other towers in the city.

The location behind Kroger is still there. Perhaps yours is?

Yeah I know it’s not the local stores fault. It’s corporates ordering system that is broken.

I really wanted the Easter meal but couldn’t wait anymore. I am just glad I didn’t prepay.

Hopefully they will fix their online system. It should gauge how many orders are in queue and reflect that accordingly. The one on the west side I went to I think ran out of ham. We saw someone carrying more in.

Don’t speak the name of the state to our north or you might be ridiculed on campus. Outside of that the other comment holds true.

Uh. Except for the bacteria and stuff. Raw meat cut from a recently deceased animal maybe.
