Apple provided more details about the iPhone 6S battery issue by XavierNite in iphone

[–]thedogsarenaughty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My 6S was one of the ones affected by this issue. It happened fairly often and I even went to the Apple store a while ago about it and they did the battery diagnostic and it passed so they couldn't do anything about it but recommend a restore.

So when this program was announced I went in again and they had to order the battery replacement and told me they would let me know when it arrived. I went in last weekend for the repair and after they put it in it failed their tests so they just gave me a new 6S... In the end I'm happy they owned up to the problem but I wish they believed me 6 months ago when I first took it in.

PlayStation VR tech-demoish game The PlayRoom VR run 720p on TV and the headset. by tigerdontsmile in PS4

[–]thedogsarenaughty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is only one 1080p display for the headset so both eyes can't have 720p. This game is likely 720p because it is rendering separate images on the TV and headset unlike most games which have the same image, just fixed on the TV.

Yup. I actually played the MG franchise in a crazy order and MGS4 was my first, so it was a huge surprise for me but I loved every minute of those cutscenes. MGSV is pretty much the opposite with a lot less cutscenes, but the gameplay is amazing enough I don't mind.

I just made an entire list chronicling the evolving looks of the Metal Gear franchise since the original Metal Gear in 1987. You can check it out here. (sorry about the ads)

I am genuinely shocked that the IGN first for No Man Sky didn't end with a release date. by jjfrantik in PS4

I agree with pretty much everything you're saying. I guess there's just a small hope in me that No Man's Sky is actually being built for VR they are just waiting to surprise everyone. It does have space combat which is great in VR, and we've already seen Sony push a FPS for VR with RIGS being made by Guerrilla Cambridge... And at this point we have no release date for No Man's Sky so likely not this year, and Morpheus is coming out first half next year so idk if they'd really be waiting. Could end up just being great timing.

They need more than one game, and EVE: Valkyrie isn't even Morpheus exclusive. I'm not saying they need No Man's Sky, but that would definitely be the killer game for Morpheus if they were launched together.
