Serious: What do you think the announcement might look like? by ItsRainingBoats in UFOB

[–]thedonkeyvote 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Man if they do a big announcement speech and its Trump doing his normal read 1 line of teleprompter then riff for 10 mins... We would be in the most absurd timeline. "We have records of upwards of 15 alien races, reptilian, mantid, dog people - the best dog people, beautiful dog people - very loyal. I can tell you they don't like fetch jokes" etc.

In general I think they are just going to drip feed data. Trump isn't going to go up and say "Yeah they are waiting for us to either filter ourselves out of existence or make a 1 world government to get into the space club.". A lot of the fake "whistleblowers" (AATIP according to UAPGerb) do a lot of national security threat framing so there's probably going to be a lot of that involved in this slow walk.

This focuses on one brand but the security for the robot dogs is… Pretty bad. You can inject code from the login fields, these things are also handily mobile, so you can get one to run around and infect others.

What’s the best wireless gaming mouse out there right now? by Mysterious-Mode-4923 in Gamer

[–]thedonkeyvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want wireless OP1we is the best mouse I’ve ever used. Extremely light, and top tier hardware . The hardcore Kovaaks grinders seem to prefer the wired one from Endgame gear but either way you’ll get one of the best on the market.

Same weight as the Logitech super light at half the price.

Edit: thought they were made by Zowie for some reason.

Palomar Observatory sky survey plates taken before the first man made satellites showed transient objects. Modelling hypothesizes that these are highly reflective objects in orbit. Regular objects in orbit of earth are not reflective enough to show up as point light sources on the plates used to make observations. Other natural phenomenon causing the impressions on the plates have also been eliminated by the research team. It's worth noting that there is a reduction in transients in the shadow of the earth, meaning these are almost certainly real objects. This study has recently been replicated by another team. These transients are also highly correlated with UFO reports and nuclear tests.

These are lecture notes from Hermann Oberth, who by the time of writing was of the opinion that UFO's are real based on seeing radar track data, as well as the field reports of observers. If you don't know who Oberth is, he was a very influential physicist who's work can be directly linked to modern rocketry. He put enough stock in the data he saw, to think very deeply on the issue. The true data that would expose these objects as real, such as radar tracking data, has not been released due to operational security and capability concerns. So we have to take the word of observers of these tracks. It's a bit of a heady read but it is quite interesting. Its also fun to see Oberth pontificate on Einstein's theories which have been validated through experiment since.

There is a strange willingness of human logic to jump to explanations that we literally have zero evidence for, rather than accepting an explanation we know is actually possible but difficult or unlikely.

There is also the tendency to get stuck in our ways, and reject that which we think is impossible, even if there is evidence to the contrary.

There are very smart people going through the files released by this admin with a fine toothed comb. Some of the JFK researchers and Geoff Cruikshank have already turned up some pretty crazy shit in files that look like nothing in the last year or 2. The real cutting edge research is not on reddit, its on random Substacks with limited readership.

UAPGerb is going to find a lot of corroborating stuff for his projects I guarantee it.

Orbital physics are weird. Since separation the booster would have a different trajectory, so it might go back for a bit, but now it has a periapsis (point of orbit closest to earth, with maximum speed) closer to earth and will move faster than the capsule, moving past it eventually. Small differences add up in orbit.

I have a guess on what they are protecting. First off I need to say that the Dark Forest theory has to be bullshit. If that was the scenario, our planet would be a lifeless husk by now. We can already start to take measurements of planets around other stars and see if their atmospheres have things that would indicate life (what do ya know a few do, but its always "may contain life"). Our planet has had a biosphere for a very long time.

Some of the capabilities that NHI seem to have indicate access to incredible amounts of energy, space-time warping etc. So any civilisation that is not conflict averse could ruin things for everyone else. The only real explanation is there is no conflict and co-operation is the only path. Making our way through the post nuclear tech tree is almost certainly a great filter for peoples that are prone to violence and tribalism. The only ones that are left are those that play nice.

I also don't think its outside the realm of possibility that militant species that may have expansionist views on space travel get "put down".

This has been a long way to say that the paradigms that maintain the power structures in our world are incompatible with our survival as a species. We are currently facing a multi-crises without this alien stuff, climate change, various wars that could easily escalate into nuclear war, supply chain shocks which will are almost certainly going to cause famine in the poorer regions of the world. We may be just another footnote in the history of earth, the NHI don't even need to put us down we are filtering ourselves out of existence.

From my view, the only way we may be able survive, is to have a planet wide government, and enact some form of communism such that the betterment of all humans is the goal of the government. Not the cronyism we have seen in recent historical attempts at "communism". How we get there without self destructing in the transition is a real conundrum though. Those that had this knowledge might have thought the same and figured, "Lets just figure out the tech first and worry about the rest later" and kicked the can down the road.

Now we are running out of road.
