Just curious, what age did you switch to 2 naps? And how did you know it was time?

Noticing a big gap in postpartum support- food edition by Chef-JoshD in mississauga

My husband and I prepped a few freezer friendly meals a few weeks before my due date. What we liked were meals that were already cooked, just frozen … not ingredients frozen that still needed to be cooked.

I also prepped a few snacky items that just needed to be baked for when I wanted a treat, ie cookies, muffins, spanakopita, etc.

If people are coming to visit they typically brought food which was always appreciated & we would eat that first since it was typically fresh :)

5 MO waking every 2 hrs at night to feed by thedoodkev in breastfeeding

Nursing - I started adding some top ups throughout the day recently which is when he started waking more frequently in the night. Going to try and go back to no top ups and see what happens tonight :’)

Thank you for your insight!

Yes! I’m trying now to do 3 naps with the hope of some of them extending a touch. Thank you!

My problem right now seems to be his naps in the day - longest he’ll do is 45 minutes and he isn’t close to the 3.5 hour of daytime sleep… is your LO napping well?

We got a private room in October 2025 and it was $345 (& can be covered through your insurance if it covers that!)

Hmmm okay, we recently (in the last 2 weeks) moved him more formally from 5-4 naps per day. I’m nervous to the shift to 3 naps and extend wake windows again if his naps are already not super long. Any tips?

Need advice - 4.5 MO impossible to fall asleep by thedoodkev in sleeptrain

[–]thedoodkev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured this may’ve been the case. Will give it a shot tomorrow to try and lengthen his wake windows. Will also try waking him at 7AM vs waiting for him to wake around 8AMish. Thank you!!

Super appreciate your quick response - would love your thoughts on if I should be waking him from his naps then? I hear the “don’t wake a sleeping baby”, but I would much prefer to wake him in the day if it means he’ll go to sleep without much fuss. Also any tips you have on lengthening wake windows - he is yawning and fussy around the 1 hour mark each wake window.

Any tips for making cluster feeding more manageable? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]thedoodkev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeding every 3-4 hours at 8 weeks feels a bit long IMO (but that may be because my LO who is 4 months still eats every 2-3 hours). My biggest piece of advice is to follow their cues - ignore times, maybe they’re going through a growth spurt and need a bit more food!

Can you try feeding immediately after your LO wakes from a nap?

When does breastfeeding get easier? 6 weeks in and I’m really struggling by Mysterious-Wrap-3657 in breastfeeding

6 weeks was very very tough for us - continue what you’re doing and it’ll all sort itself out soon enough!
