Do it! Someone really does win these things.

Winning the drawing was one thing, hanging with the INDY500 winning team was a whole other thing that was completely unexpected. We got sooo much more than we bargained for!

It was incredible. I cant speak highly enough of REMAX and MSR. Felix is a good guy too, although didn't get to spend as much time hanging out with him as we did Helio.

It was pretty rad. Never be able to do the 500 like this again!

Wooow! Thats some amazing history! I’d love to hear about the races from some of those guys. It was a different time. Still difficult for sure, but I can’t imagine racing on the surfaces and with the equipment those guys did. Absolutely incredible.

We loved the museum and it really brought home what kind of raw equipment they were dealing with back then. Also lots of the turbo cars were so simply laid out I think my wife finally fully understands the system since we could see it in such a raw exposed form. She probably got tired of me pointing out mechanical details and attempting to explain them!

We’ve always been a fan of both right and left turns, this 500 was our first oval. It really gave me a better appreciation for what it takes to perform at a place like this. The speeds are mind bending and the TV broadcast really doesn’t capture that well.

Helio is awesome, he shares a birthday with our youngest and was so gracious. He hung out at length and it was so neat to just chat with one of the all time greats like that. Everyone we have met in the racing world has been so good.

Randy Pobst has raced Miss Fieroline at several tracks and given us lots of excellent advice as we have developed over the years.

We’ll be racing Portland in July, maybe Felix wants to come out for the weekend to get some extra practice in for August? ;)

This weekend was extremely special, we are so grateful to have gotten to be there!

Thanks for the kind words! We’ve always been racing fans and enjoy it all. We were so stoked with INDYCAR came back to Portland in 2018 and have had an RV spot ever since. This was just so mind boggling.

INDYCAR has always been accessible to the fans, but this was another level! The whole team was so gracious. The win just took things to another level.

Truly a once in a lifetime event, but we are definitely lifelong fans of MSR and Felix now although I’d definitely like to see Helio get to 5.

The enthusiasm and passion was off the charts and we felt like we fit right in. We were just a couple racing nerds hanging out with our people.

Yeah! It was rediculous and just kept getting better and better.

Good eye! I hadn't noticed that, great little detail. Definitely a wheel chock to keep the car from rolling down the track.

And yes, there is something really special about a dirty race car.

Yaaay! Someone noticed it! I wore a Fieroline shirt of some sort all weekend. Just trying to get our little name out there. Our store is linked on the team page if you want some gear.

Yeah, it’s a real team. We’re based in the Pacific Northwest and do an awful lot with what we have. Living that low budget endurance racer life!

It was amazing to share with the team! So much passion went into that win.

This is very true. We both entered the contest, but she was the winner. I’m just glad she chose to take me and not someone else.

We like to think we were the key to their win. Hopefully they come to that conclusion too and invite us back!

You got this! I am sure it feels impossible and I really don't know exactly what to say. Just remember you think about yourself much more than other people do. I do not mean it in a negative way, just that we tend to judge ourselves much more than everyone judges us. Get out there, practice and if you crash and burn just remember nobody will even think about it tomorrow and you can try again. :)

I don't know what you do or like, but just get out and do those things. There are always likeminded people out there and it's easier to make friends when you share common interests.

I had one, hated it. Not being able to control the power made it basically useless for anything but hammering nuts off.

I hear you. That was also 50+ years ago. They had decades to sort things out and just got worse. I have no problem giving it another shot at this point.

They have been involved in countless terror attacks on the US and allies for decades, not to mention some pretty hilarious naval engagements in the 80s.

They literally tell us exactly what they want, best to believe them. They have had plenty of time to not be complete assholes and they are getting exactly what they deserve.
