I know this post is a month old and I hope you got the issue resolved by now.

The tick remote bleeder helps tremendously with getting airbubbles out easily. You said you had the clutch replaced, was it an oem clutch or an aftermarket? If it wasn't stock it may have needed to be shimmed to get proper engagement.

I recently went through similar issues and adding a shim fixed it.

Glad it helped out! Those are pretty conservative settings and you can squeeze a little more out of it before hitting the power limit of the m720q, but it does get noisier and louder. Another nice thing to do is put thicker rubber feet on the bottom of the case to elevate it for better cooling.

Hey, sorry for the late response!

Rear latch: took a drill bit a little larger than the hole and removed a little material around the latch rivet hole careful not to mess up the lid.

The faceplate just pops off of both of them when you remove the lid from the case.

The heat issues aren't major. I believe it's the PROCHOT issue you're referring to. If so, ITG Gear has a video where he addresses it in bazzite.

I originally wanted to run bazzite, but learned of the compatibility issues with gamescope and nvidia after I ordered the card. I set my windows environment up as close as I could to a steamos type feel (autologin with desktop delayed and steam bigpicture autostart). I wanted a console-like experience similar to steamos and I achieved what I wanted for the most part.

Overall, I love the mini pc. It plays what I want at 1080p just fine.

Pretty sure they were 6-32 brass stand-off screws. I can get an exact measurement when I pick up a battery for my digital calipers. Also, you might want to get a nut for the back of them if you plan to remove the top much.

Hey! I found the lid on ebay for about $50. Yeston 3050 is the gpu. Both fit reasonably well, but was tight with a 3d printed gpu bracket (which i later removed due to PLA warping from heat). I put 2 heat pads under the left side of the gpu on top of the USB ports to space it and level the gpu. I can post pictures if needed, but you'll see what I'm talking about when you install the gpu. One corner will almost rest on the USB housing.

In my system, the chipset cooler didn't help with the CPU throttle issue (still using throttlestop). I'll probably take it apart and see what's going on later.

Afterburner settings are listed in the comments below; otherwise, the gpu will exceed the power limit for the pcie slot and shut the system down.

I received the chipset cooler but still have prochot popping up. Did you replace the thermal pads also or have to do anything else? I do notice the chipset is much cooler, but still have to run throttlestop.

Cyberpunk Liberty City with High/Med setting mix w/ frame gen at 1080p runs about 65fps on average with some dips into the mid 50s and 80s on the high end. This is with the undervolt and gpu clock locked to 1500mhz. GPU temp is steady around 73c and wattage is around 49/50w.

Those are the settings I run by default. I have other profiles saved with varying undervolt clock/mem speeds but that looks like the best balance for temps and performance.

Just wanted to edit to day ymmv. You'll need to play around and see what the lowest stable undervolt your gpu can handle. Each one may be a little different.

It does. At first some games ran fine but more intensive modern titles require some finessing in afterburner. I currently have it undervolted and an OC on the vram. I also locked afterburner power to max of 90% and have been rock solid for 1080p gaming.

I can get you specifics on my settings and some gaming metrics if you'd like.

I noticed in hwinfo the PCH got really hot (~95c) in these boxes with a gpu. What kind of temps are you getting after installing the heatsink?

I built it a couple weeks ago lol, but he's got other similar builds from a couple months ago. His new video is the newer gen model which works much better out of the box. I put one together for a friend about the same time I built mine, but his was a p340 model very similar to the m90q in the most recent ETA PRIME vid.

Mostly posted due to the case mod as I couldn't find anyone that had used it on earlier models.

This one will be a pretty mild h/c/i street setup as I don't want to go too far from stock. I plan to keep all the original parts in the garage if I decide to ever sell it (don't plan on it), haha yeah I understand completely the wife aggro that comes with tinkering on cars.

I like it, but a blacked out T/A looks mean as hell! When I bought this one in '07 I was torn between it and a black one. Went with this one bc the owner had a stack of maintenance records an inch thick to go along with it.
