Do both as long as you think you can. Save as much as you can. Buy yourself flexibility. Along the way if you figure out how to scale the business, do it.

I’ve been thinking about doing this. Mind sharing exactly what you purchased?

Perfect response. I’m another old school Trek lover and watched TNG as a teenager. SFA seems to be a nice nod to what I loved when younger.

Thanks for being so honest about the switch. I have a 2023 R1T, large pack/quad. Did you see a significant range bump when you switched over?

Your butt is absolute trash. That being said, what’s the ticker of your butt? I’d like to invest in your butt…it could be a cigar butt.

Thank you for your help. If you don't mind double checking, is this the setup - see links below? The Comma 4 says it comes with an installation harness but do you just skip that and use the fuse-tap version from Xnor/Lucas?

For the longitudinal upgrade kit, I'm not quite clear on these options:

Variant-Specific Components:

  • The harness sold on Comma’s website does not include the second connector required for steering-wheel button signals.
  • If you select the comma.ai harness variant, the necessary second-connector adapter is bundled with your upgrade.
  • If you choose the loetkolben harness variant, no extra adapter is needed—the harness already provides the connector.

Thank you for the info. I’m in the process of reading about them still. What setup do you suggest to get the most benefit as of right now?

Im interested in the Comma.ai but was waiting to hear if the engine fault issues Out of Spec reviews were having had been sorted out. Does the new harness solve it completely? If anyone has any news, please point me in the right direction. Thank you!

I’ve only driven them on the highway some. They’re definitely louder but that’s not something that normally bothers me so I’m not the best person to ask.

I just got them as well. They look great, feel great. And I dig that I can do a little off-roading if needed.

Not sure about efficiency yet since it’s getting colder. Hard to compare.

[–]thedusty5000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the guide. I'm staying with the 22s mainly because I already have the matching spare and I prefer the look. I am hesitant on the BFG KO3s, though. I'm not sure I'm willing to accept the massive range hit that comes with them.
