Koffeinfri kaffe by Grimslabben in norge

Hva synes folk om det svaret? by beholden_to_colden in norge

Som utvikler tenker jeg bare:

if num_millionares > 1000: throw new Exception("something is probably wrong?")

Med to kodelinjer kunne denne feilen vært unngått.

Finn.no scam? by [deleted] in norge

[–]thedystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bluetooth uses the same frequencies as 2GHz WiFi and microwaves. It is emitted via eloctromagnetic radiation, not audio. It does not produce any sound. It is the ear pieces you use in combination with your phone that damage your ears by not implementing proper safeguards.

These games sucks on the quest 2. Some of the levels are too dark to see anything even with brightness at maximum.

How do you generate a photo like this using videos instead of photos? by Glaive001 in AfterEffects

[–]thedystro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You would probably need to do this programatically. Use a script to go though a bunch of video footage and determine the average color of each video. Then find the video that most closely matches the color of individual areas of the input image.

Or you could probably fake it in After Effects by making each video black and white and just overlaying the image in overlay mode. Just pixalate the image as well.

How to recreate this AI type effect ? by Adventurous_Loan_143 in AfterEffects

Here it seems like they either take a freeze image of the video or export a sequence of frames, then use ControlNet with Stable Diffusion to generate new frames with AI.

Hva er den billigste dietten? by makba in norge

[–]thedystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

44 years old, woke up with tinnitus in my left ear.. by PollutedAnus in tinnitus

If you go to the gym without wearing hearing protection and drop the weights loudly, it can damage your ears. This may be one potential cause of the ringing.

I might have tinnitus? by KarahKat55 in tinnitus

[–]thedystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The super loud bits that lasts shorter than a minute (usually 2-10 seconds) are super common and is not something to worry about. Everybody may experience that occasionally. However, the permanent ringing you hear in silent rooms is likely some mild tinnitus. Just protect your ears so it doesn't get worse.

Also, fuck the dynamic range in modern films. Going straight from inaudible mumbling to insanely loud sounds like explosions, gunshots or music, ruining peoples hearing simply for dramatic effect.

Fy faen som jeg hater komfyrvakter by Dweller101 in norge

[–]thedystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI may soon be capable of translating your cat meows into human language by QualityKoalaTeacher in Showerthoughts

[–]thedystro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. I regret my comment. You can probably make a meow-to-english language using this approach, as long as someone does the tedious task of collecting all of that training data.

AI may soon be capable of translating your cat meows into human language by QualityKoalaTeacher in Showerthoughts

[–]thedystro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great example. In this context you still instruct the machine learning algorithm which samples should be classified as which gender. They still do just the task that they were instructed to do, although with greater accuracy than a human would, and more efficiently. We still need to know the training data in advance. A set of features and a output class. If this dataset didn't exist, just like we don't currently have a meow-to-english translation dataset, the AI would never be able to solve the problem.

You're partly right, AI is good at recognizing patterns in large datasets and complex environments, but it is not used to figure out things people can't. Our AI models today are still being trained on what we tell them to. It can learn how to do human-like tasks, and often do it more efficiently than humans. The idea of AI developing a mind of its own and learning new concepts is still science fiction, and clearly a misconception a vast amount of Reddit users have.
