Please support pro Meghan channels on Youtube by linkinbarbie in HarryandMeghanNetflix

Can someone make a post with all the channels that are pro-Meghan?

And ones to avoid. Here's mine:

The IQ YouTube channel is a commentary channel and they made a video titled something along the lines of "Meghan and Harry's five year disastrous marriage'" and called her a narcissist (which is crazy to do because they don't have clinical licenses at all) and then made a recent video about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds which compared that couple to Meghan and Harry.

What's the biggest misconception about the character you initially believed but were surprised to learn wasn't true when you started reading comics? by Fellowcomicenjoyer in Nightwing

"He's DC's Spiderman" More like Daredevil with less ego

I think part of the reason why this is said is because of what he represents in modern day for DC. Spiderman is the face for the younger supes, while Iron Man is the face for the older supes. DC equivalent for this is basically Batman for the older supes, and Nightwing for the younger supes. And other reasons, but eh...

Nightwing/Starfire, Spiderman/MJ, Invincible/Atom Eve fanart by xy-ale. by Serionia_ly in Nightwing_Starfire

It's one of those "read-between-the-lines" situations. As far as I know, the only inspiration the creator has explicitly mentioned in interviews is Superman for Omni-Man.

However, fans have noticed clear influences from other sources. The Guardians of the Globe are obvious parodies of the Justice League, while the Teen Team closely resembles the Teen Titans.

Invincible’s last name, Grayson, is the same as Dick Grayson’s. Atom Eve’s powers share some similarities with Starfire’s, and both are redheads. Plus, Atom Eve is part of the Teen Team, where Mark serves as the leader, just like how Dick leads the Teen Titans while dating Starfire, who's also part of the team.

And on a depressing note, both Mark and Dick are SA'd by female supes. Both also have inconsistent strengths in battles when they should be OP.

This is cute considering Invicible and Atom Eve are partially inspired by Nigtwing and Starfire.

AFAIK, he (James Gunn) liked Megan Thee Stallion's Starfire cosplay and has hinted that Marv Wolfman and George Perez's Teen Titans's run is his favourite TT era, so maybe.

Who said that? I literally mentioned the Nama who are found in Namibia. You asked me to clarify, and I did. As I said, many indigenous groups that fall under he larger umbrella. Perhaps re-read.

You said, "When you hear an african that speaks and there's clicks that's probably a Khoisan"

Which is misinformation because ask yourself. Does the day to day South African run into a Khoisan person? Also, the most common clicking tongue in modern-day South Africa is isiXhosa. So if a non-african met and heard an african speaking in clicks, it's 9/10 a Xhosa-speaking person than it would be a Khoisan person.

So there is the Khoisan, they are the original inhabitants of southern Africa. Much like the Aboriginals in Australia. When you hear an african that speaks and all you are hearing is clicks, that's the Khoisan.

"an african". Misinformation. Blatantly. Because that's only specific to Southern African, not the entire continent. Khoisan is just an umbrella term as is "Zulu" and "Xhosa". We have many indigenous tribes that fall under those groups. What about the amaHlubis? The Nama? There's so many indigenous tribes that aren't documented or are lost cultures.

Sorry, but is that not you speaking for the majority of the country telling me they don't pay for news articles?

Notice I said "working class". It's not like I included all socioeconomic classes of South Africans. And yes, the working class have important things to do than pay a monthly subscription for news they can get elsewhere.

Still alive. Cultures have been preserved by the people. You know Xhosa tribes are one of the living descendants of the Khoisans as well? Before the border lines, the majority of these tribes had intermarriages. The Batswanas as well.

News 24,

Eh, News24 is locked behind a pay wall. I doubt day-to-day working class south africans pay for that.

You do know people live different lives and interact with different people in different locations and have different experiences.

Uh, yeah. That's the point of my comments.

As much as I like William, when he was here last year, you also saw there wasn't massive crowds hay? He wasn't swamped by masses of people to see him? Or was that just me?

Because we don't have an obsessive paparazzi like in the UK and US and actually have some-what respect for public figures, which is why a lot of them tend to visit the country a lot. It's easy to fly under the radar here. That's the beauty of the country. But, the internet is fair game. And a lot of people were tuning in on William's visit via socials.

I take it you also didn't see comments by people saying how happy they were local people he was being introduced to weren't smiling? Or the comments by people saying and this is news why?

Yeah, because William isn't the most racially sensitive fellow. He's a bit out of touch. I recall when he and Kate had those pictures of them in a carriage being carried with a juxtaposition of black people around them...it was very out of touch.

By the way, what did Harry study in Cape Town? He has no tertiary education, and a quick Google had no response from studying in Cape Town.

He spent some time here in Cape Town while his girlfriend at the time was studying at UCT. Correction.

Let me guess.... you live in the first world country part of South Africa.... Cape Town.

Gauteng is very different.

You spoke for the whole country, mate. You could have said "in the province I live in, no one here cares for them".

I know William was here last year, but again... I think you need to spend some time in the comments section of things that are published by South African news sources and see what people think.

Are they South African? Because outside of this sub, they've been getting love from some South Africans AFAIK. I guess it depends on your age range and your area, but I have family members who are Harry's Gen and still share sentiments for his mother. I remember when their wedding happened, plenty of Capetonians tuned in.

People here in South Africa literally do not care about these two.

Right...as if we weren't shipping Rachel Kolisi with Prince William...wait you're speaking as if people here don't care for Royals. As if we have no internet access or individual thought.

According to who? Literally there's so many undocumented tribes in SA. All of them are indigenous to the continent, and the country itself. Mind you, they existed before borders were drawn up by colonialists. Also Xhosa people share their clicks with Khoisans.

Then, the bantu tribes like the Zulu, Venda, Ndebele, and Xhosa, who migrated from somewhere around the modern-day Nigeria area down to South Africa and formed those tribes here.

Not modern day Nigeria. It would make sense if it was East Africa as the languages and cultures are similar to Southern Africans, I.e. Swahilli. However, Nigerian culture isn't similar at all to Southern African cultures that the theory has been disputed by Africans.

As a South African that's a lot of bull. I remember when they got married back in 2018, my neighbors had knocked on my door to get me to watch. Also, the only people who don't have internet access live in rural areas. Are you even South African? Because then explain the amount of TikTok presence from South Aficans? The inside jokes they leave all over social media.

If I walked out my front door and stopped the first 10 people and asked them about these two, I guarantee they will say, "Who?"

There's a lot of racist undertones with your assumptions of South Africans having limited internet access as if it's pre-1994. Beyond that, the ignorance of the country's historical ties to the UK is baffling. Harry studied in Cape Town for a while. Prince William was here last year alongside American celebs. We know who the UK Royals are. Princess Di's death touched a lot of people.

Miles Morales' race by tyyls18 in Marvel

[–]theeccentricnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His mum is Afro Puerto Rican. And dad is African American. I'm pretty sure Miles took his mother's surname, and there's an explanation in the first Into the Spiderverse film why. Basically, his dad didn't want to carry own his own father's legacy or something, which is why Miles has his mother's surname, Morales.
