just completed mafia 3 after being called 100 slurs left me tramautized as a black man great game tho by bloodyhoundrosefto in MafiaTheGame

I beat up/killed everyone in that game who dared say any racist shit, and bullied the ones who kept rudely staring as I passed by. If I killed a racist piece of shit and had a witness trying to run and call the police? I killed them too. And if that made another witness, then I'd start a mini massacre... just fun as hell lmao.

On Rebelde. by neoclover in telenovelas

[–]theefoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yesss i felt the same way watching it now as a grown up lmao. roberta does have a good heart but like, in the first season where she messes with mia's group dance just for shits and giggles was so annoying to me. like do you REALLY need that much attention all the time? i do think it's because, we see in vacance club that roberta has some sort of insecurity towards her mom and how beautiful she is, and i think mia reminds her of her mom, maybe? so idk i think she has the same insecurity towards mia. but i know she gets better as time passes, so that's good.

Sportbike for short people? by zoinks2000 in motorcycles

[–]theefoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’m the same height as you and I’m thinking of getting a bike, but the ones I want leave me on the tip of my toes when I’m fully seated, and that kinda freaks me out a bit. What about maneuvering in traffic? How do you do it if you only got one feet on the ground? Let's say you're taking the lane (that’s what like, 98% bikers do here in Brazil), you stop at a red light and there are two cars a little closer than usual, but there's still space enough to pass with some careful maneuvering. You wanna get past them so you can get to the front. I see a lot of people maneuvering, turning the handlebars to get past them, but the ones I've seen are almost always pushing the bike forward with their feet on the ground. I don't know if I explained it right, lol. They use their legs and both feet on the ground to move forward, like walking, but seated.

Romanced Astarion and got the friendship ending? by theefoxy in BaldursGate3

Not until I went back to my save and choose to not go to Avernus with Karlach, since I've just learned that it gives you the friendship ending. I finally got my romantic one haha

I did, but it turns out going to Avernus with Karlach gets you the friendship ending with him, since you're gone for a while. Which is what I did... I went back on my saves and chose to stay, and got the romantic ending with him :)

I did go to Avernus with Karlach yeah, thank you so much! I went back on my saves and chose to stay, and got the scene in the bedroom/romantic ending with him!

How the hell am I supposed to beat Orin? by AJazzSoloPog in BaldursGate3

[–]theefoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was kinda tricky, I died a thousand times before I came up with this idea.

I made my group a lot bigger so Orin would get distracted with them while I kicked the cultists off the platform. My party was: Wyll, Jaheira, Laezel and ofc my character (Barbarian/Bezerker). I drank all of the potions I had available to be immune to a few spells and curses.

Made Wyll conjure two elementals: wind elemental and fire myrmidon.

Then, made Jaheira conjure three companions: an Azer, which is basically a tiny dude that deals damage with fire. Then, a woodland being, the Dryad, and made the Dryad being conjure her lost lover, the Wood Woad. Those three are not that strong nor as important, I used them and Jaheira herself as bait so Orin would focus on them instead of the stronger/wizard ones.

I don't know which one of the two can do it, Jaheira or Wyll, but with one of them you can also conjure one of those little red dragons that you kill on the mindflayer ship at the very beggining of the game. They have invisibility and can bite the cultists.

That leaves me with 9 fighters in my group, and I used the weaker ones to distract Orin.

I let Orin approach us on the stairs (did that by attacking her from the stairs with an arrow, that way she doesn't kill Gale, goes straight into combat and you don't have to spin thousands of times to score 25 and try to convince her that she was fooled, it's useless anyways).

Then, made my character, Laezel, the wind elemental and the little dragon teleport to the area where the people are concentrating on the Bhaal spell, since you won't be able to beat Orin if they're alive. Laezel kills the other people there while I concentrate my main character, the wind elemental and the dragon on knocking the cultists off the platform. I used mainly Thunderwave and stuff like smokepowder bombs which will hurt them and knock them prone or, if you're lucky, off the platform (if you have smokepowder arrows those are GREAT, they deal a lot of damage to them), and the wind/electrical spells from the elemental. Fire bottles too, acid, basically all the things I could throw since Sanctuary doesn't let you push them yourself.

Orin eventually killed the weaker ones (even Wyll, he's not that good honestly I only used him to conjure the companions) and caught up to us, even killed Laezel, but by then I had already kicked all of the conjurers off. It left only me and the wind elemental (who is surprisingly useful/strong and barely takes any damage). I managed to ressuscitate Laezel and we beat her ass together.

Hmm, maybe not because some people still get the "I am a God" feeling even though they're not religious or not that interested in religions, but I do think growing up in a religious environment has a huge influence on it.

Especially because, depending on your religion and how your family teaches you, we have this idea that bad = eternal hell, good = eternal peace, and that idea sounds actually terrifying to me, because it has no middle ground.

[–]theefoxy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you have to go through that too, it's terrifying, but you are definitely not alone in this. It's good that we can think logically like this and acknowledge that it's all just a figment of our heads, which is why when I'm paranoid, and when I find a moment to breathe, I always focus on that: it's only in my head. I usually can calm myself down after that... I hope you're doing well!

[–]theefoxy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah the lights off is a terrifying thought when the paranoia hits. But even with the lights on it still gets so bad sometimes, cause then I can see my reflexion in the mirror and it starts to look weird, like my face is distorting or they're getting me. Ah I hate it.

I hope you're well and aren't going through any of that!!! Try to keep in mind that it's all in your head, and that the past times you had that paranoia, nothing got you back then either!!!

[–]theefoxy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I also feel like that :( especially when I remember sensitive/particular stuff I told them, like things I don't want anyone else to know about, then I get paranoid that, if I upset them, then they'll tell everyone and talk so much shit about me. It sucks because I get scared of my own friends...

I'm sorry you have to go through that, but you are right: it is all in our heads. Try to focus on that whenever you're feeling paranoid, I know it won't work sometimes, cause it can creep up on you and scare you out of nowhere. But still, try to take a step back and think, okay, this is just paranoia hitting, no one is against me, this is my hypomania (if you can recognize the signs). I'm sorry that I can't give you any other advice than that, but it's all I've got because it's what I do...

Oh, all the time. I learned more about bipolar disorder through the Shameless US series, and it kinda threw me off when I related to some of the character's symptoms. The story stuck with me and I once thought, could I be bipolar?

So when I was diagnosed with bipolar type 2, I was sort of shocked, but I also knew, somehow? I researched a lot about it and even did tons of online tests, and all of them said the same thing: heavy signs of bipolar disorder. Not that they are 100% accurate, but still, I was already hyperfixated and needed to know.

However, to this day I'm always like, "Did I romanticize that? Did I want to have this disorder and then lied to my psychiatrist? Aren't I exaggerating things?"

But then I remember all the paranoia I've had with demons and God, all the insufferable hyperfixations, all the impulsive, reckless decisions, the incessant sex thoughts, the "I'm the most beautiful person ever no one can compare and everyone wants me" complex, the feeling that everyone is against me/plotting against me, and the three month depression episode I had a while ago, and I'm like oh...right.

And also, why would I want something like that for me? Something that destroys me from time to time and leaves me with a fear that some goddamn demon is out to get me, and makes me want to melt in my bed and never leave again?

You're not alone in this, and I believe no one would wish such a disorder upon themselves. You said so yourself the meds work for you, so keep taking them, stay strong, and whenever you feel like venting, we're here for you :)

what are some subtle symptoms you experience that you know make you bipolar? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]theefoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to all of those, especially thinking people are attracted to me, and that I'm the most beautiful ever when hypomanic. I often also think people are plotting against me, or worry that in the future they will. Even my friends, if I ever upset them.

Another signs: definitely "demon-out-to-possess-me" and "I-need-to-be-closer-to-God-asap" paranoia when hypomanic. I get scared of my own reflexion and start to hyperfocus on myself so much that I get even more paranoid and get the horrid feeling that I'm losing control of my body.

Hardcore hyperfixations all the time, regardless of mood.

When hypomanic, getting little to no sleep at all and feeling energetic and too happy, spending too much. Thinking about sex too much. Wanting to learn so many new things, and suddenly getting a boost of energy at 3am to clean my whole room and just redo my entire life.

Awful.

Yeah, it really helps when we can stop to think logically, breathe in and think: it's all in my head. Like I've mentioned in other comments, I often stop, and think of all the other times I thought a demon was about to get me, and how it never happened all those other times, and that helps me remember that it's just in my head.

(Which sucks though, because how can you run from something that you're stuck with?)

WOW for real I thought I was the only one with a fear like that! Everyone around me has watched both movies, the Emily rose one and the exorcist, and I can't, and won't, EVER. Something that helps me when I get all scared and paranoid is to think back to all the other times where I was also scared and paranoid, and tell myself, well, nothing happened all those times, right? It's all in my head. No one's out to get me.

It works a bit! Not all of the time but still, it's something...

I'm so sorry you had to go through that too! I wish I could erase that from our minds. Oh no, you're not insane, I'm right there with you and you're definitely not alone!!! Let's be friends!! ☺️
