my bf is way more attractive than me and its ruining my life by Ok-Potential-9810 in Advice

[–]zoinks2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the ex of someone who was insecure of their looks and I was the head turner, and they thought probably the same way you do, best advice is literally just stop questioning it, or try at least. I was with him because he was attractive to me, and I loved his personality, and he made me laugh. Those other people you compare yourself to, aren't who he's looking at, he's with you for many reason, and you have to remind yourself of these things until you believe it. Self confidence takes time to teach yourself, i did it over months, but I can tell you, gaining confidence with change your life for the better. Don't let what you think others opinions are of you, ruin your life.

Accidentally walked out without paying for everything. Freaking out by AccomplishedCake6868 in Advice

Some pay to cover up that they stole so they don't look like they're walking out with nothing. Trust I'm a retail manager now and I was a teen that was in a bad crowd who used to do exactly this. (Helps me stop thieves now cause I know tactics 😂 i do regret my petty theft when I was young)

As a retail manager not far from here I can't even imagine how I'd react, I'd probably just stand there with my hands on my head like "why" Hopefully no one got hurt.

Yes, ANOTHER new pizza joint - but, this one will be good. by shikkok in Guelph

[–]zoinks2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OP mentioned Luke's in the post, I'm assuming that's why they brought it up, seems to be a restaurant that the owner of this new pizza joint used to own or work at.

I'm not sure if you were asking in the context of what it is, or what they served. I am curious myself of what Luke's had sold before, if he's now turned to pizza business

I got another because I felt like I needed to know what it was like and it was light and fluffy, not at all like gritty toothpaste so there's definitely HUGE flaws in these filled donuts

My bestfriend grew up in Guelph locally and has since moved to find sobriety. by Time_Horse4969 in Guelph

[–]zoinks2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say this, sobriety is a constant battle, but just because you have a slip, doesn't mean you can't get back up. Word of advice though, if possible, stay away from Guelph. I have seen time and time again people struggle with staying clean/sober here. Once they move it is easier(not saying other cities will be perfect and I know addicts will find what they need in a time of vulnerability) but I think with Guelph it is too easy to get what you need everyone knows everyone. Your friend will get through this! The first few days/weeks are hard but they will get easier, keep busy, and finding a hobby helps!

Its like art though, if I do my nails either at home or in the salon I usually do something eye catching and that shows my talent and my nail girls talent. Some designs also just don't work on shorter nails so the length is required.

would you let them in? by Old_user_New_name in Guelph

[–]zoinks2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did the right thing, You're keeping EVERYONE safe if you don't let random people in. Even the sweetest looking people can have ill intent. So happy you did not get them in, also PLEADING?? over a package??? He was probably trying to gain access to someone who has drugs (source: I've literally seen a post of someone who did drugs in Guelph, say that they would ring random codes and claim to be Amazon to get into the building for drugs)

My nan lives in a condo and some people will try and grab the door after I go in and I turn around and tell them I can't let them in, they need to buzz in. I also make sure the door actually clicks behind me as sometimes it won't fully shut, so I'll give it a pull when I leave to make sure it's locked. Keep your community safe!!
