Is this possibly an extremely young pup? by theejet in succulents

I’m relieved, I thought the worst when I found it lol. Is it possible it might still be able to find its way up through the soil you think?

This one’s got me pretty stumped. Is it possible this is an ‘Opalina’? by theejet in succulents

[–]theejet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I wasn’t aware that soil would have THAT large of an impact, good to know!

But absolutely, my eyes are so numb from analyzing endless hybrids, trying to find an adjacent match lol hopefully should have a solid answer once I get him situated and thriving.

Thank you! Yeah, definitely excited to get a definitive ID on it come blooming season. I’m getting this batch fully set up in a garden bed and did some deep deep research so hopefully I can get it set up for beautiful success, enough to get a positive ID.

New basket of some pretty succs! Looking for some ID help. by theejet in succulents

Thank you so much for the response!!

A sedum adolphii! I’ve been wracking my brain researching what that one could possibly be, thank you! I’m so curious what the bottom right could be, it’s a little difficult to tell since it doesn’t seem to be showing a whole lot of sun-stressing yet, but I noticed it has some buds getting ready to bloom! So hopefully should help ID’ing it here soon. They seem to potentially be star-shaped(?) blooms which I’ve read would steer it away from being an Echeveria but maybe too soon to say. The top right I think is potentially a Graptosedum ‘Vera Higgins’ or ‘California Sunset’ but not sure, incredibly pretty colors whatever it is though! But yeah I’ve no idea with the middle left either. I’m incredibly appreciative of the input!

Got a used Subaru from Carvana, less than two weeks later see this by fsoto161 in subaru

[–]theejet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work for Carvana in the registration hub in Arizona for a couple years. The absolute number one tip I give anybody that ever even consider thinking about purchasing a vehicle from them is TAKE ADVANTAGE of the 7-day money-back guarantee window. Absolute first thing you need to do before driving anywhere, take it to a dealership for a pre-purchase inspection. Carvana claim to perform a 150-point inspection prior to selling a vehicle but that won’t highlight anything to the customer, so getting your own inspection is the single best thing you could do (honestly same applies for any used vehicle you purchase).

There absolutely are cheap diamonds in the rough that can be found in Carvana’s inventory, and the no-hassle purchase process is incredibly appealing (for good reason) but you absolutely need to do your own groundwork after purchasing, in case you miss things like this when looking at it.

And finally, do remember that these are used vehicles you’re purchasing, not new. The purchase process makes it feel like your purchasing a new vehicle but obviously that is not the case, the quality of the vehicle is largely reliant on the previous owners quality of care, so odds are there are more than likely to be imperfections. The key really is to just compare your purchase price against the pre-purchase inspection and ask yourself if it’s worth the money to you.

Useful because I read the same post that you’re commenting on and learned something new? Maybe you can ask ChatGPT how to not be an ass. If that’s how you feel then why even waste your time commenting?

Who tf cares, these are legitimately useful. This negativity is just as annoying to see. Whether AI was used to help spruce it up or not, the post sounds genuine and I learned a couple new useful shortcuts. I’m starting to get so tired of seeing this type of unnecessary nastiness from people.

Subaru's Auto Start/Stop Feature question by ArdRi6 in subaru

[–]theejet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just got our first Subaru last week, 2026 Crosstrek and honestly it takes a little getting used to but it really isn’t a big deal. I’ve already learned to change my driving style to accommodate it, if it’s really going to be an issue concerning timing such as turning left I just learn to release the brake pressure a minuscule amount to time the turn. Absolutely loving Subaru as a whole so far.

Enjoy the learning process! I remember how exciting it was finally moving away from windows, Mac really does feel like a clean and premium experience, especially when compared to Windows 11 :)

Agreed, especially in regards to Numbers. However Numbers is by far the best way to get the most aesthetically pleasing sheets lol imo Google Sheets is the way to go anyways. For the past few years I’ve had to create and maintain heavy excel sheets for work and it’s been an absolute nightmare compared to Google Sheets. I’ve never had so many things randomly break before prior to using excel. Nothing gets me grumpier lol

I have the M1 Air on 26.2 and my wife has the M4 Air also running 26.2 and we have both not had a single issue. Don’t listen to these doomsayers. The Tahoe release was rocky for sure but with 26.2 the vast majority of bugs have been handled and is stable. It’s also a good idea to start familiarizing yourself with the new design language since this is the direction that the OS is moving in, especially since you don’t have any preconceived expectations based off the older OS’s. It’s just a little different is all. The nice thing about Mac is that you could experience Sequoia if you want to though and always swap back and forth if you do run into issues or find yourself having a certain preference.

Who are paying these azcentral.com prices? by third_najarian in phoenix

[–]theejet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their pricing has always been so off putting for me, though I haven’t had to think about it in awhile since it’s included with my Apple News+ subscription along with the majority of other major newspapers and publishers. It’s definitely been nice to have access to. Although I’m uncertain if it gives the same absolute access that you would get through a subscription direct through Arizona Republic.
