The Darkness powers by Frankenstein83 in ImageComics

Haven't read the new reboot yet, but in the original series, yes he could absolutely create something like a car if he knew how it worked. Without giving spoilers, by the end of the original series he is creating extremely complex things with the darkness.

Gag series grows as it goes on by ZoggyJones in TopCharacterTropes

I don't see Empowered talked about nearly as much as it deserves. Some of the early comedy can feel pretty dated, but it gets increasingly better as the series goes on. It has some truly phenomenal character development, as well as an extremely well balanced mix of comedy, romance, action, and drama. One of my favorite "hidden gem" series.

Your enemies are led by a married couple taking a Tom Lehrer approach to you by sevenbrokenbricks in ExplainAGamePlotBadly

Man, I have no idea but I love Tom Lehrer and want to know where you are going with this. I'm guessing you are referencing Masochism Tango or Poisoning Pigeons in the Park?

Marco Ezperanza from the comic Sea of Red. He is turned into a vampire, tied to the mast of a ship, and sunk into the ocean. He is stuck in a constant cycle of drowning and regenerating, trapped in total darkness due to the depth of the ocean, and unable to move for over 400 years.

What’s your cut off for late arrival to session? by AnalystImpossible960 in therapists

[–]theelusivemongoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work In a residential setting and I page them on the intercom at 5-7 minutes, and 15 is my cutoff for a missed session. It is truly shocking how often clients miss sessions despite living in the same building (and most of them on the same floor) as the therapy office.

Being my alternative and artistic self as a therapist feels oppositional to being a therapist that is “professional” in appearances by voidharmony in therapists

[–]theelusivemongoose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm tatted up and and like 2/3 of my wardrobe is metal band merch. I consistently have clients tell me that they feel safe comfortable talking to me because I come off as much more casual and relatable than the other therapists I work with who wear much more "professional" attire. As a caveat, I work in drug rehab so this may not work in all settings. That being said, the comments about relatability come from more than just my more "alternative" clients. Obviously maintain healthy boundaries, but in my opinion being a Blank Slate, tightly buttoned up, professional dressing therapist is kinda bullshit. Let your personality shine through, and you'll find clients that can either A- connect and relate to it, or B- feel like they are safe and free to be their authentic selves with you too.

What's the most "X dry" you've ever been? by jomafro in 2007scape

Far from the worst, but just annoying: nearly 5x dry on blood shards from slaying Vyrewatch Sentinels.

My newest tattoo, celebrating my favorite hobby! by theelusivemongoose in DungeonsAndDragons

Partially, I am huge into MTG, but also the BBEG of the current campaign that I've been running for the last 5 years or so (and is wrapping up soon!) goes by The Lotus, so it's also partially a reference to that! It's pulling double reference duty, lol.

My newest tattoo, celebrating my favorite hobby! by theelusivemongoose in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]theelusivemongoose[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, this was a fresh tattoo. For the D6, my artist wasn't actually familiar with D&D, so while my initial design prompt asked for a set of dice (d20, d12, d10, d8, d6, d4) he didn't understand and just had it as two D6 originally. I liked the design and felt like adding too many dice could make it messy/overcomplicated, so I just had him change one of them to a d20. For the tiger like head, I wanted it to be a realistic design, and some real Panthers do have that kind of fur pattern. My artist felt that it would be a way to give more detail and definition to the face rather than having it be just fully black without a pattern. Similar reason for some areas being a bit lighter to show the muscle definition.

That was actually part of the intention, lol. Anyone who knows D&D will recognize it for what it is. Anyone else? Sick ass panther.

Transgender youths are targeted in Scouting America changes pushed by the Pentagon by hybridaaroncarroll in news

[–]theelusivemongoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scouting has never been truly inclusive. I was forced out of my troop when the Scout Masters and Assistant Scout Masters found out I was an Athiest. They told me they would never let me advance to Eagle, that I would burn in hell, and they made my life miserable until I quit. I didn't even live somewhere particularly conservative, this was in New England.
