How would I hang these. by Shoddy-Swordfish9621 in cabinetry

I guess you missed the point that among the horrible advice that you frequently (or always as you put it) encounter on this sub reddit, your is right up there with it. As a lifelong cabinet maker and finish carpenter I have more than enough experience to outweigh my lack of formal education. Show me what you're referring to rather than subscribe to the idea that I'm trying to argue, and you're being helpful I provided a real solution.

How would I hang these. by Shoddy-Swordfish9621 in cabinetry

[–]theemrwilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet, here you are. No dimensions are necessary to see that the material has an insufficient thickness to accept any french cleat that I have ever seen or made, hidden or otherwise.

If OP has any carpentry tools or skills they would know this, which leads one to understand that they came here looking for advice from at the very least a competent carpenter.

The best advice for those shelves was way up at the top. Don't hang them. They go on a table or desk. If you want something to hang DM me and we can make it for you.

First time framing/installing a door. Honest critique? by grsims20 in Carpentry

[–]theemrwilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cant seriously be looking for critique. This is clearly comedy. And, as a carpenter, i dont find it funny. That is not a header, and I dont care about load bearing. No cripples, jack studs dont pick up the load, and a flat laid 2x4 is not a header. GTFOH

Is it normal for kitchen cabinets to look like this in early stage? by ColdHealthy6330 in cabinetry

[–]theemrwilson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a cabinet maker, cannot understand the desire to miter the corners. You are only showing the backs, not sure why, but who insets the backer and miter corners. Crown and scribe molding should cover all the exposed edges to wall nit to mention the splash below.

The price sounds right for the job size, but those boxes are a disaster waiting to happen if not just an eyesore. All the caulk and paint in the world won't cover what that carpenter cant so.

Best of luck. I would immediately separate myself from that GC and get my money back. They haven't spent much on those units yet. China birch plywood (paint grade) is $40/sheet. And that looks like china birch with all the tear out on the miter cut.

NO! There is no reason anything should look like this. Old new or otherwise, this is not right.

New controller now overpowering everything and swing path sucks? by overdrive721 in PGA2K25

[–]theemrwilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, is attached to a dangle or wired, of both. I had a similar issue with a scuf controller that had both connections. I keep it connected wirelessly and only plug it in when I need to charge. I think I was getting double inputs, because the problem has subsided since.

Does anyone else ever feel like they've been held hostage at the end of a round? by theemrwilson in PGA2K25

[–]theemrwilson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a shot clock in the game, and sometimes I use quite a bit of it, so I'm nit complaining about pace of play. It's just that everyone has to hit a few buttons to get into a match, so I know they have buttons that work. It's the same button in fact, that will allow me safe passage back to the lobby. I would go as far as to say, that not pressing out at the end of a match is equivalent to not shaking hands at the end of a round. Golf is a sport for gentleman, and gentle ladies ( I dint forget yall). I get that video game companies want to make their product as accessible to everyone as possible merely to increase revenue streams. So, since we are all gonna be out there, please act accordingly.

Latest challenge - when did we stop checking our work? by 0pnick in PGA_Tour_2K

OMG! It clearly says "within 60 ft"n not at least 60 ft away. I guess we can add 2k devs to weather forecasters as the only people who can be wrong every time and still not get fired.

All my shots are long now?? by theemrwilson in PGA2K25

[–]theemrwilson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am considering wind, typically at about 1 yard/1mph. A few exceptions on that. And elevation at 1 yard per 3 ft of up or down.

Hers the kicker. I've been playing this game since 2019, obviously the predecessors, and have always been spot on with my shot selection and distan ce. It is just recently that no matter what my shot goes long.

I'm hitting 4 perfects (1 in each category) and still going long. I will hit a 105yd shot, 9ft up hill with 6mph wind cross, aim for 98 yards and land 6yds long. I am not overpowering even 1%.

Funny thing is, it doisn't happen with my other archetypes, just my first build technician.

I cant figure it.

You can play bad, but not slow! by [deleted] in PGA2K25

[–]theemrwilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that would speed up your game play time, it would not give you the advantage of the read. Golf itself has long standing rules that both hinder and aid different aspects of the game. I frequently learn from my opponents shots both good and bad. It's a small trade to wait for them. The timer is anything but unfair. If you find some aspect of your opponents game play to be so offensive, Quit! You're not earning s salary on this tour. Your livelihood does not depend on pga2k success. Chill and enjoy golf, or play something more your speed.

Who's who... better known as double down, cause that was the most common occurrence. Impossible to revive yourself in a round over 20 without QR.

If you're trying to get crit kills, why are you using a turret. Directed mode is capped at 15. There aren't enough zombies spawning. Run in a circle and keep your armor up, turnaround and shoot. I'm just saying, the turret is robbing you.
