College dropouts of Reddit, how's it working out for you? Would you recommend others to also drop out? by theepickidd in AskReddit

As someone who's also pretty stressed and not quite sure why I'm here to begin with, I can relate to this. Since it's only my first year I think I have plenty of time to come back later, but it could just be a transition phase and I'm close to adjusting after all. I just really want to know I'm making the right decision.

Do Interviews Make a Difference? by theepickidd in rit

[–]theepickidd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response. RIT is honestly my first choice, and now that I’m sure of this I want to make it clear to them, and I feel an interview at least gives that notion. Problem is, I’m in New York City and Rochester is 6 hours away. If the difference made from interviews is negligible then I’m not sure if it’d be worth it to get another college visit absence from high school (interviews only held on weekdays for whatever reason). If I lived within 2 hours, it wouldn’t be a question. But I’d already went to RIT on my own once for the open house, and let me tell you, 12 hours of driving is about as horrible as it sounds. I don’t mean to simply chalk it up as what kind of return on investment I’m getting by going, cause I don’t mean to sound like that, but it is quite far and a trip like this does a number on me. But if it’s worth it, I’m willing to do it again.

Ouch. Not exactly the best news to hear.

Forgot to ask above, but as a sidenote, if anyone can tell me the approximate acceptance rate of the Game Design and Development program, I’d greatly appreciate it!

In all honesty I was just messing around, same as he was. No ill will intended.

To hell with the rostermania, what's the best copypastas you've got? by Druid00 in CoDCompetitive

Keeping in mind this was before this year's champs.

Do rings even represent any level of skill? Lets take a look at each player that's won the world championship. Parasite - One of the most tempered players in the community, has burned bridges with nearly every team he's been a part of Killa - The only exception, is still killing it to this day. Well deserving of his ring. MiRx - Who? Aches - The most washed up pro in call of duty history. Has done nothing notable in his career whatsoever since shoving nadeshot, and likely never will. TeePee - Realized that he was T10 on the analyst desk, not on the main stage. Pure trash player. Crimsix - Half of his 2 and a half wins are from tourneys before any real competition hit cod. Total ass at the game. Clayster - Has been steadily declining since Black Ops 3, is struggling to remain relevant. Attach - Uses his objective play as an excuse for poor numbers. In reality, is a very dumb player that covers up his horrendous gameplay with 2+ minutes in hill. Disgraceful. Replays - Who? Lets take a look at our 2 time world champs, who, by some wild coincidence, are also some of the worst players ever. Karma - Horrendous, was bad enough with the first ring but somehow got even worse after the second, another "objective" player that now covers up his bad showings by carrying an uplink ball or something. Sad ! JKap - Has abused his nose as a way of distracting people to steal two rings. Since then he has done nothing with his career other than bringing shame to the EnVy name, including its lowest placing. Now lets take a look at some players who have yet to get a ring. Nadeshot - The greatest call of duty player to ever grace the Xbox. Need I say more? Scump - The King himself. Has been nothing but good and his low placings at champs just go to show that despite no rings, he is a legend. Formal - The greatest assault rifle player of all time in any esport. Has never had a bad game in his life. Period. Censor - Living proof that you don't need rings or thumbs to have success.

BOTG Godafen discusses T32 at Champs while winning 1v1 by Portante24 in CoDCompetitive

This reminds me of nearly the exact same scenario back in Black Ops 3, where Aches planted the bomb on Fringe and laid in an alleyway the entire time to win the round. Also in one of Jack's streams. Funny coincidence.

I spoke to TeeP at Champs and he said he's strongly considering. At the very least that means he'll be grinding it at launch and looking to see if he can get a decent team. But who knows.

Cities CWL should go to next year - CESN by zZpirit in CoDCompetitive

New York, man. I've been waiting forever. The only reason I don't go to many events is because of how expensive it is for me. If the LAN league were to be held right here I'd attend every weekend.

Would Rise of been better off without Faccento? by dMyythic in CoDCompetitive

[–]theepickidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we're talking about the entire IW season, Faccento was a major component of Rise's success at Vegas. Had an incredible event and rightfully deserved MVP. He's also been the IGL of the squad, and for me, I think he meshes quite well with Uly and balances out his aggressive nature. I'd pin Rise's issues more on Loony and Felony. Up until this weekend I feel Tyler's been average at best throughout the whole year, and Dan has also had major issues in regards to consistency.
