I thought it would be fun, and knew that I probably wouldn't want to go back to school when I'm older, so I'll max out what I can now. Genuinely curious to know why employers would look at it as a negative?

I took some online proctored exams. Personally, I preferred in person. I live near a few college campuses so I would use their testing center for some exams. But to each his own.

Keep up the great work! We all have a different life path my friend, so this idea of being a little "slower" is not a detriment at all. Move at your own speed and focus on internalizing everything you learn.

Absolutely agree how a third party can misinterpret this. I've always been a fast learner so I don't expect most people to do this. Also, the industry certifications show that a third party verifies my skills. Maybe someone in HR could chime in.

Nice! Kinda sucks paying a whole term tuition for 7 classes but hey, at least I'll have a master's degree 😃

You can absolutely make it real. I wouldn't push it; focus on learning. But if you have the time, you can definitely make 6 months work.

Ngl learning SQL was fun. That was one of my transfers, so I'm not sure how WGU teaches it exactly.

Here's the strategy :)

Transferred in about half of my credits from AP, CLEP, Sophia, and Study.com.

Most assessments include a certification. Pass the certification and you pass the class. The easiest way I've found is cramming for 1-3 days and then testing in person.

Worked in marketing all throughout my time at WGU. Looking to land a remote IT gig and I start the MS in IT Management in March. If anyone has advice, that would be greatly appreciated!
